Apparantly the course in Germany is "too hilly" for RH.... but even so, which I find hard to swallow, wouldn't his presence and experience be valuable? Surely he doesn't have to win the damn race but if he can help others in the team to do well ????

He said that some feel that she's a sprinter and the climbs can go up to 13 degrees - how would she cope ?

She noted that by winning SA champs - she had to come up against SA's best climbers and she won - so she's already shown her ability.

Yah it seems like everything in SA sport is deurmekaar. Maybe I should start watching darts. I wonder how many dartboards and darts I could buy if I sell my bike? Might even have some buks left to spend on an extra beer or two.

 

I think beer is a pre-requisite for darts, to help you keep your balance. But then watch out for DSA!

A selector phoned me this morning after a few e mails from myself to CSA re Hunter. Hunter doesnt want to commit to riding worlds. But he will be in Europe and will decide as close as 48hrs before event. So he is entered for in case but if this is the case I dont think he is extra motivated to be on peak form. He is our best rider but musnt he be treated as the rest. Decide now if you're in or out. Or can a special rider /prima donna, decide when he wants to. 

Meeting with ladies teams tonite at cyclelab with CSA in Jhb and Friday at CSA offices about current situation in road cycling. I'll go on Friday and if Ronel was taken out of team by someone with a hidden agenda I'll find out about it.

Each will recieve Cycle Lab gift voucher 1st-R1500 2nd-R750 and 3rd-R500.

 

Female, 1st-R1500...Where is 2nd and 3rd? Nope,dont get anything. Same goes for Tandem!

I acgree that ladies prize money has to step up..but making it the same as mens prize money is insane...Think about how many men is competing for prize money as too ladies if they competing for the same amount.. Normally in pro cycling they devide the winnings between the riders..So if you have lets say 7/8 men's teams and 3ladies teams the ladies at the end of the day get way more than the mens.. but there should be a ratio worked out not just based on numbers..to work it out who should get what

Racing heart, the reverse of your argument might be true as well. If there is more price money for the ladies there might be more of them taking part. Currently the juniour, elite and veteran ladies race in on category competing for the same price money. If there is price money for each of these categories then more of the ladies riding in the open categories might be tempted to ride licenced.

rh - don't know so much about that... then you get say MS, having 9 riders ... noetel 5, with the same prize money. So a Neotel rider gets more. Buuuttttt, if your 3/5 rider team can kick the ass of a 6/9 rider team, why not? Ok ok ok, I know it doesn't happen often, but it happens!

Don't think it should be merited on that scenario. But again, that may just get more ladies/teams onto the race scene.

That just proves my point. being specific always gets you into trouble, so be as vague as possible, you might even catch (or is it hit) two birds with one stone. That is if they/it want to be hit (or is it catched)
