Now the BIG question is where is BIG H on this subject.............should we call out the Search and Rescue ?????????????????

He is busy with bigger fish. Busy why a 2007 Toyota is better then a 1998 VW.

If I had the money I would've fitted the Chorus groupset with a compact crank long ago!  The Shiman is VERY nice' date=' but ai-ai, Campag maketh my eyes ring and my ears water! [/quote']

sounds like when god was handing out bodies, they didn't check to see if yours was wired rightLOL

Ride what you like folks, if that jap stuff blows your hair back, so be it. If you want the Italian groupset go buy it. Having ridden both, I prefer campag.

As for the patents, whoopee - We all know that if there had been patents when Campag invented and designed the quick release and rear derailleur , we would all be riding Campag. Also makes me wonder how many Campag fans we would have if dear la had ridden Campag instead of Shimano... Sames applies to trek bikes.

Oooooooooooi, say what you want but Shimano has the biggest market share in this industry ....and it's surely not only because they are cheaper and more reliable...that I can assure you.

I wonder who had the majority of teams in the TDF for a while now.

Fact is Campag is catering for a elite few that is willing to pay a premium for something Shimano does just as well if not better. Does this make them better or worse for it............Not in my eyes.........

If you can afford it go for it, but please don't go and think you are better than the guy who rides and supports Shimano.

Jokerman.

Kakaaa will ride you into the ground with Suntour on.

So your point about who the better GUY is, is null and void.

This is not what this thread is about.

Have you ridden with Campy and SRAM??

Spinnekop, from my personal experience I beg to differ mate..........I don't want to generalize but will stick my neck out and say that I have met so many ppl riding Campag that think they are better than us mortals riding Shimano................and not sure why they think that.

Like you rightfully said........and LA it's in the end not about the bike bit about the guy on it............

I'm not saying I'm better than guys with Campag or any groupset for that matter........not at all..........

In the end it's about personal preference and admitting that each brand has their own good and bad points....just like anyhting else in life
