I would think the only way wearing a magnet would make you go faster is by sliding it down in front of your CatEye reader... but that's just me.

Pretty strong accusations there. We, however refuse to use The Hub as a platform for public debate. There are some companies who create "undercover" profiles here to punt their brands, but we have boldly chosen to put the brand name out here, and offer some honest and sincere feedback on various issues. I feel that we have been over-accommodating in sharing information and opinion and will continue to do so in this manner.

 

I think any reputable company would be reluctant to tarnish their image by producing any sort of nonsense product like these powerbalance bands....

unless they are making HUGE profits with it.

Perhaps having shares in Biogen might have something to do with it.

I think cyclists are very sceptical about anything that they don't understand or that can't really be explained like:

1) Powerbands

2) Contador winning TDF

 

I would like to recall a certain time when everybody was wearing copper bracelets and you could see them working when the green rust appeared on your wrist... it's just a phase but these phases make a huge mental difference... to some people

What happens if you wear two Power Balance bands, one on each wrist, are you back to square one? Will the two bands cancel one another out? Or are you now twice as flexible?

I have done quite a bit of research concerning these "powerbands", there are alot of opinions out there and there are equal opinions on both sides of the argument.

 

Many of my friends use them and swear they work, but i'm unconvinced.

Has anybody got one of these? Does it work?

5 minutes on google shows that you can pick these things up for +- $1 from many Chinese shops... That means I could get them here for about R10 each. If I sold these for R20, would you still be interested or would that make them less exciting when the price shows them for what they really are? (1 of the descriptions from a manufacturer is 'silicone bracelet', i.e. these are actually girls fashion accessories that you are wearing so proudly!)

Good idea to have the hologram logo integrated in the silicon boobs, and voila undercover balance. The doc must make sure that both implants has the logo or you might have a sagging boob
