Interested to know how many kms you've done on the NW vs a standard SS chainring before replacing?

Not sure about km's but I have had mine on for about three years now. It is a Gusset chainring. Suppose I sould replace it but the chain doesnt slip or anything...

Gusset - I'm assuming this a standard SS chainring? Not a NW.

I've found normal SS chain rings to be cheaper than NW and work really well (for the purpose they intended).

My standard one i replaced did 9900kms.

Give me a year to confirm mileage but definitely on price the NW wins

Where where?

Sometime ago on special from a local online store.

Looking now though, SS chainrings are around R400. NW come in around R700. This is comparing the same brand (not really apples with apples comparing a Dartmoor or Blackspire to one of these local NW brands until we know the longevity of these).

Correct BUT I find the NW lasts longer than a normal for much the same price.

Not to doubt you but i disagree, NW rings are a pretty recent thing... how many KM's have you done on a NW vs a proper SS ring (Mono Veloce and the like)?

I have never replaced my front chainring in nearly 5 years...
