aaahhh mampara i seems to have forgoteten about the famous chaindrop saga :unsure:

 

I think Andy in general isn't the sharpest tool on the shed, that's why his chain came off... explains why he couldn't get it back in without someones help...

ye, the guy is a beanpole of note. main issue I would worry about is will he get better on the downhills with that small frame? definitely one of his weaknesses.

Wouldn't mind having one of those, but don't like the look of the stem (too flashy), the wheels just look boring and there's too much white! ;) At least the horrible looking crankset serves a good practical purpose!

Lately I have heard that the top racing guys use smaller frame sizes and then use a longer stem and seat post. Is this true and why? To me it looks like it's the case with Andy's bike as well and I also remember seeing the same with Mark Cavendish bike during the tour de france.

Must be a weight-saving strategy, R P... :blink:

Long stem + smaller frame gives you a more aero position as well as a small weight saving. It's not for everyone though - riding like that takes some getting used to. Some would also say that at speed a short stem gives you twitchy handling.
