javadude Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 LOOK's are manufactured in France and in LOOK's own factory in Tunisia. The LOOK 566 is made in Taiwan though. How has the uprising and change of government in Tunisia affected production?

Bat-ass Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Where bikes are made still seems important to people so here I have a pic of the underside of Tom Boonen's new Quick Step Eddy Merckx EMX-7 Interesting little sticker huh? I also saw that artical on "Bikeradar" and noticed this. But even worse, have a look at the paint job in the other pics of the frame, its not good?? THat is a R35K - R40k frame??? Evens cycles website(UK) have themm advertised at R35k.

Jeepdude Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 does that article cover the basics of when a company can put the sticker on made in...... apparently the frame can be made it taiwan but if the bike gets assembled in europe...spain it can get a made in spain sticker not so sure bout those colnagos being made in europe... the company was sold and manufacturing moved to taiwan

The monitor the production 100% 24/7...which is not possible in Taiwan. It's just across the Mediterranean Sea...so it's next to France.

The Taiwanese models are made for Colnago by Giant and are not seen as cheaper models. In fact, the prices of the top Taiwanese frames are the same as the frames made in Italy.
