Klerksdorp was brilliant last year! A bit hot though! I went through 6 bottles in 120km... Most racing cyclists are from Europe, world champs isn't there every year now if it?
Guest Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 all the 30+ guys from TCS are dangerous Not really, they had the same amount last year, told everyone on the line it wasnt going to be easy and they not here to mess around and off the start a break goes with none of them in it and cant bring it back either. Winner came from the break. Same amount of riders this year, same results as last year it seems. Quality, not quantity.

Eugene Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I was down there now and the racing seems to be hard and furious with no problems. It looks like a sucessful event with the shorter, more disappointing route. The traffic is chaos, but that doesn't effect the riders as they have lanes etc blocked off for them.

Winner came from the break. TCS consist mostly of 30-34 guys.2010 saw 4 TCS guys in the MAIN bunch with 3 in the top 10 and ALL 4 finishing with the front 17 guys. NO breaks. Just a boring bunch sprint. I know.....I was there in that sprint! 2009 TCS WON SA's. Accept that at worlds your country normally foots the bill (Not SA I know....) and with SA's each rider has to cover his own expenses.... So much for making it accesable to the PDIs......... Rather keep it in Cape Town or Gauteng. You know.....majority people can participate.Or Bloemies if you want to be halfway. No one will every be happy!

Chris won in 2008 down in East London I think.........the guy was just awesome on the sprint!!!! I remember trying to get back to the break and each time I caught them they attacked and dropped me again.......
