  1. Oops....yes 36 woulda have been better, but no native 170mm travel in the 2021 36 So the Helm (with a brand new CSU and complete service/overhaul) will be up for sale shortly too
  2. From what I have heard the track is currently in need of some SERIOUS maintenance. Perhaps it is worthwhile contacting the landowner so we can get some peeps together after the first few rains to do a little maintenance
  3. Would dig to, but the timing of the event and distance from CT coupled with leave needing to be taken etc puts it out of reach for me unfortunately
  4. Hey now, we were on Myles' arse like white on rice about coming though, but apparently we were too late in inviting some of the peeps (3 months was not enough notice ). In his defence though, they has a trip postponed due to COVID so they had to reschedule and they did that early LD. And besides, race report from a DNF is an interesting perspective
  5. Hahahah allll good you'd have figured it out easily enough. Hadn't looked at that spreadsheet in 2 years now Should probably have checked first
  6. They had some help preparing from ppl who have stuffed up using the app before, who in turn learnt from ppl who both stuffed it up and got it right before...So they were damn smart, learn from other peoples mistakes
  7. A lot of them are built, a lot of work put in, but emphasis kept on keeping them with only what is needed to allow a rider to progress, get creative and learn to handle their bike properly. Not just sit in another berm. Yes, I saw the latest PP email.
  8. Who needs a date, let's just pick a weekend and go Preferably as long weekend though. I don't know if any of you did, but the night riding there...Wow, next level awesome!
  9. Wahahaha, appropriate name Do it again, but keep it a fun event IMO. Anyway, will post here and around if we plan to head through again this year and next. Trails are good training for our Italy trip that is now happening next year, and there are a few good ones we missed out on that need doing. Jewie, I am sure we can wrangle a BMX for you, although that bike you were on wasn't much larger
  10. What a super rad event. And the trails, wow the trails. Best in the WC except if Status Quo was there as well (and some sneaky off radar stuff). So glad we make a plan to go there at least once a year, but honestly it should be far more. Also, at R200 a year for Hillbillies membership...I just bought a years membership. If you look at how much time and dedication has gone into that network over the years (even when I still lived there in 2011), all who entered should be considering a years membership as a donation It's half the cost of a single EWC event Oh man, did I mention how good the trails were?! A-lines that gave you an actual advantage too! Sooooo good
  11. pfffft, having a kid is no excuse. Otherwise the dirt roadents out Tygerberg side couldn't train for their 1300m climbing on Wines2Whales
  12. So what you're saying is ... the climbing was almost enough We're too spoilt in CT man, only Jonkers is a killer. Well, Helderberg would have been too.I'll harass Harry about trying making the other EWC events longer/bigger.
  13. Hahahah Savage n I took a wrong turn at the bottom of stage 1 anyway and went the long way round...like twice too. So we missed out riding with more peeps and *** talking I mean that is the only reason for entering an enduro anyway
  14. We've taken to renaming him Huishond of late...
  15. Tsek you TEA slacker who didn't join
  16. Start is at the Botanical Gardens man, well just to the left (west) of it, but ya, a quick pedal from pretty much anywhere in George And it's only 1200m climbing, not so bad
  17. Ah I miss the DH line there So glad you have one going down the OG rock garden towards the bottom Also, lil Dan needs a smack for not doing the quarry doubles
  18. Leave the root! This is not Tygerberm trails. MTB is supposed to be sketchy
  19. Finally, an actual A-Line with a benefit! Ya'll need to split that bridge in two with one going even higher up I'll bring a saw and a spade for my old stomping grounds
  20. Go with what the manual says...if you 're doing lower leg you know hoe to refresh the lowers lubricating oil easily enough to not have to overfill it beyond what the manufacturer says for "our conditions".
  21. Check the date stamp yo...Life wasn't easy back then
  22. Here's how NOT to do the second one...You will struggle to accidentally hit them. You see them from plenty far away to avoid em.
  23. I'd be willing to take that chance. But honestly, I am seldom one to advocate for trail maintenance, but that one long straight rut into the LH corner needs some damn work for drainage at the least
  24. Was ultra rutty a while back. Getting to that point where it needs maintenance for the sake of longevity now. Maybe we should all rock up and sort some stuff out sometime before summer time comes.
  25. Just not if you use Aramex etc, you will pay VAT in the country of origin AND here... So can still work out cheaper if you got your maths correct
