  1. Wahahahaha best! Schralp away. Part of the sport. I gotta learn to schralp, but ride berms too seldom to practice.
  2. Ag I honestly take manufacturers pressures with a pinch of salt. A starting point at best mos
  3. to high to what?
  4. Lekker, "plan" was to start at the original Welvanpas spot in any case. That should then be OK No shame in walking, sometimes it's the best way to get a good amount of descending in too
  5. So basically "real" mountain biking. That's even better IMO Thanks
  6. Wait, what, it's open again?
  7. For riding trails... Handlebar - Giant Recon 1800 Head - Cheaper crap 900 lumen boys available most places Commuting only.... Handlebar - Giant Recon 1800 From experience, skimping on a light (and yes I know, even these options are a bit krap compared to the really expensive ones) is simply pi$$ing money down the toilet.
  8. I have not, but I can wholly vouch for the Spez Eliminator as as workign very well around Signal Hill, Tokai, Tygerberm and Jonkers. Rolld fast IMO as well adn the grip is very good all round, even in the very damp
  9. Hahaha then I can only assume you were previously riding slicks
  10. this, and if not then you got lucky and pay no VAT. That happens on the odd occasion too.
  11. You wont pay import duties as there are no duties on parts. But you might pay VAT. Either when you pick it up at the post office or none at all if the value is so low. Sometimes they slip through without VAT.
  12. VAT is no longer 14%, now 15%. But always bet on VAT+1% *handling etc). So more likely 16% you should look at
  13. Okes...DHRII...what a useless tyre out rear ITO braking performance Wow it just let's go whenever it wants to. That Butcher Jewwie was talking about earlier...man what a rear tyre, wow! Man how i wish @rushSports would bring in DD casing. So many people I know are literally ordering tyres from overseas (as many have said here) simply because the local agents think there's no market for it. Make sure to hound your LBS so they can give proper feedback to the agents
  14. Yo dude, 3 photos. As you can see the centre knobs are essentially completely worn down to the point where there is no braking edge anymore. It's massively noticeable especially on steeper descents. Some side knobs are not in great shape either. The casing is still perfecto
  15. And is also heavier than just running a stiffer tyre. I'm good on tyres for now. I have run inserts before (although not CushCore or the Vittoria Airliner) and they're a bandaid for an problem that shouldn't exist. Our importers are uninformed as to their tyre products IMO.
  16. Could be. My PRIMARY concern though for a rear tyre is stiff casing. Which severely limits my tyre choices unfortunately. I'd MUCH rather lug around 200g more and not have to be overly concerned about wankering a rim or having to fix a puncture than save a little mass there
  17. Longevity is fine, just not for the e-Martello on the rear, mine is completely toast All in all the tread pattern was OK, not great. The casing is incredibly strong, think Schwalbe SuperGravity at least IMO.
  18. 100% they interest me too yep. Mate just got a Zeb too, so we'll be bike swapping a lil. I'm coming off a Helm (which P.S. will be up for sale as soon as the replacement upgraded CSU arrives and it gets a full rebuild), which IMO was *** stiff, and he's coming off a Lyrik Ultimate. Both great forks, but got a deal ya know.
  19. Ya need more yoga man!
  20. So this arrived The orange wasn't gonna work so red decals it was! (Although the white balance makes em look rather orange too). Maiden voyage is later today though on the 38. Woop woop
  21. Like back in the 90's when we were skateboarding a LOT and Abec 9 was the best, if you had Abec 3 you were trash
  22. Steel is an alloy...i believe you mean aluminium alloy. Soz, just got meself a DT Swiss hub, so now i should be part of this convo as well
  23. a BIT ugly?
  24. Hahahaha Yeah for sure, but the extra 250g starts adding up after a while. Either way, cup of cement/etc ya know
