  1. Yep, this is the generic k@kapoeffie answer they always give. I guess they do some work around Kirstenbosch trails. But absolutely nothing anywhere else regarding MTB. And even less than zero when it comes to climbing related. Really pathetic.
  2. Would still love TMNP to tell us what the use the Activity Permit money from MTB and Sport Climbing for to put back into the community. From my 8+ years trying to deal with their absolute horse $h1t on this subject they are yet to show anything spent. Especially for climbing. Sorry, build your own path, bolt your own route, maintain your own, etc, etc, etc. honestly it really should be boycotted until they commit to giving back to the ppl paying for these. Not enough bureaucracy to catch everyone if nobody has a permit. Not that the community would rally together for that anyhoo.
  3. Droo is mostly right... BUT...I still wanna know if there is a Mcrae mode...
  4. liiiiikeeee? Does the Scooby come with a secret "Mcrae" mode you can activate? Turn steering wheel 90 degrees clockwise, put in reverse, depress clutch, place tongue in 12V outlet and turn key?
  5. Been working on capturing some MTB Tyre mass data if anyone is interested. Let me know (PM) if there is a make and model you want to have added). https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dujFCFfN0vkw47tZo96Hr3jJWQ9IVTVdhHPagejZxNw/edit?usp=sharing
  6. What aboot if you make Frodo do the work?
  7. Probably ONLY when mounted to a breakaway component. So helmet visor, not helmet not chesty, etc AFIK.
  8. Yep it's gonna hurt...but that's kinda the point too
  9. The term is "water dildo"...didn't you take note the other day.
  10. Except these days he's more affectionately knows as Die Huishond
  11. Yeah the Slates are apparently terrible. I recently replaced my Zee's with a set of TRP Quadiems and no chance I'd ever go back to Shimano. Once bedded in the power is comparable, but the control is far superior. And they are cheap! R3600 with a 180 and 160 rotor.
  12. EXACTLY...DD for the back, not much use on the front, except maybe for DH or very big or aggressive riders.
  13. Or more tyres in Double Down FFS
  14. Meh, no mention of the actual casings tested. And that's an old test. So much has changed since then, esp with Schwalbe compounds, as well as Spez compound and tread pattern and introduction of the Black Diamond casing.
  15. Butt...I only have 2 balls
  16. 740g tyre for enduro racing...? Is jy mal? Nobody in their right mind would run such a lightweight tyre, especially not in the rear. You'd rip a hole in it every race.
  17. If the club would build a less steep Status Quo (although the gradient does exist) that would be amazing! And something less steep but which also forces speed control! It would go a hell of a long way to allowing serious riders to upskill for international level XCO events. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=463524004394504
  18. Innit pronounced "angry fit"?
  19. He said surfing...not speedbumping
  20. Build upper body muscle. You'll fatigue less on a descent, be able to better man-handle the bike and have more protection when falling. Including strong core. If you can't L-sit or hollow sit for a decent time period your core is poo. Things like pushups even or holding a plank in a half pushup position will simulate keeping strong over the handlebars, etc. Also I have found recently, squats, walking lunges, static lunges, hamstring curls, etc have been a big help to overall pedalling fitness and muscle fatigue.
  21. It has always been that way. The only recent change is to have Vasbyte as down only.
  22. People have ears too you know. Both are looking out and obs. both will attempt to avoid an incident. Nobody want's to get hurt. You're scrolling back faaaaaaarrr
  23. Yeah if you do the section of Pat's starting from below the noon gun you're in for a load of that as well and not as long and relentless as Pat's from High Level up
  24. Not sure where that is. But I'll have you know...falling off the side on Pat's is not bad. Not nearly as bad as you anticipate.
  25. Yes, yes they do. Those tings aint too tough
