  1. So so sad how a life was just taken and the lives affected. And then what also stood out for me in that article is that the defense tried to put the blame on the guy, Colin... 🤥
  2. That would solve all my problems! The style police came by and requested I remove this 3kg that I am hauling extra on each longish ride... Can you imagine if I rock up with my Camelbak or moonbag The reason for entertaining the style police is to avoid any fines after DC...
  3. awkward as in might fall out? I am a pretty thirsty guy and the worst for me is running out of fluids in a ride.
  4. Wish they made even bigger ones :). These are the Elite Fly.
  5. Thanks! See Mellow has the Elite.
  6. I am looking for 1L bottles that will fit in a standard cage. These were the biggest ones I could find on the internet: https://southerndistributors.co.uk/product/soma-further-bottle/ Do anyone know where I can get at least 1L bottles?
  7. Now this is a first for me at least. All you okes asking for reseeding got me bumped DOWN! Here I was minding my own business NOT moaning about seeding as I was seeded in A. Happy with that and wanted to take on Spidey for the podium this year. Only to get this now via WhatsApp: *Reseed - Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg* Hi Peet We try to seed riders of similar ability together, based on your past Ride Joburg results or other MTB/Road results we felt it necessary to change your batch. We initially seeded you in batch A, you are now seeded in batch F which starts at 7:00. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. All the best Team Ride Joburg Sheesh, the burn!
  8. With the same gearing?
  9. erm, wrong way around? First person that I know of that ditched AXS. The general feedback on it is that if you can afford it get it

  11. Morsig!
  12. That sounds like quite some movements! 4.5cm higher saddle is interesting and I imagine you with your knees knocked out like on a kids bicycle :). During one of my fitments at Epic Sports they mentioned that the majority of saddles needs to be lowered when they doing a fitment. Mine was also one of those, but not by almost 5 cm. Here's to you getting used to the new position soon and adding like 50 free watts!
  13. The Scott should be lighter with rigid fork and one chainring at the front. When I bought a bike for my then 9 year old, it was a rigid with 1 x very similar to the Roxter.
  14. Probably why Jewbacca likes it 😋
  15. What a champ! He was happy with the route
  16. I believe the course was proper and the strongest won!
  17. I am not above a shameful calling of dibs! MINE!
  18. From one of his social media posts he indicated that he is going. If he is at the start line he has a chance!
  19. He oozes a personality that just makes you have to love the mullet! What a guy! In my office:
  20. You seem friendly in your interaction with them @Graham S, kudos! With that friendly laugh, were you able to tell/teach them where they could walk?
  21. he went so fast the others only finished it the next day 😅
  22. How hard was the race on your gravel bike? The mount does look way better than on cable ties!
  23. As a friend once told me, whenever there is money involved in any sport you will find a "geknoeiery" (It translates as tinkering)
  24. If you own both for this race I will take a gravel bike. There is one place where I had to walk a couple of meters, but I also had to walk it the year before on my mtb. I think the difference for me was like 30 mins between the 2 types of bikes and what stood out for me on the gravel bike is that I was able to stick to stronger riders that I would not have been able to hold onto with the mtb. I did see several other gravel riders having a hard time staying on a jeep track at one section. But I think that was because of the speed and skill levels. (Every year it seems more riders are on gravel bikes).
