  1. It IS a sexy looking bike.
  2. science actually. Used to go see him in person every tuesday evening, along with about 50 other schoolkids from the surrounding areas.
  3. my LBS had a launch for this straight after our group ride this morning, I did not stick around so did not even see the bike. No point drooling over new bikes when you cant even afford the tires.
  4. it sounds like you will lancealot in sea point
  5. my 130 has done this a few times.
  6. I know there is not much love for lance on this forum, but strapping him to the front of the bike is a bit extreme isnt it ?
  7. Was going to reply but Jewbecca summed it up nicely. Its both, in the past they'd tell you to just HTFU and deal with it, it was rarely recognised as an illness, you were just deemed weak. On the information side, especially with Social media algorythms tailoring your feeds, its very easy to head down the depression hole with negative information bombarding your social feeds. As someone that suffers with mental health, I often have to check myself when I start to recognise the signs in me, and most times upon evaluation its because I've headed down the negative hole via my social media feeds. Its a continuous struggle and I would imagine someone that in the public spotlight has it 100 times worse.
  8. its more for when you take the bike to the LBS, just leave the Garmin on and they can debit your card as they service.
  9. The problem is, from what I've seen, these packages normally come with the smallest battery the company can offer, which for some tools is not nearly enough. not sure about the higher end tools, but on the consumer level SAFAs want things for free, and preferably with a battery and charger, so not much chance this side to split package deals up.
  10. I'm trying to find pics online but our Nazi IT overlords have blocked every site that has reported on this, but local Bike dealer, Bike King Suzuki burnt to the ground over the weekend. Entire place is gutted, they had plenty bikes in stock, all gone. Not a pretty sight.
  11. So then stop talking *** about them in every single post, its annoying. so you had bad aftersales from one SA brand, big deal, name a brand that nobody has had bad service from. Build a bridge already
  12. This is one of those un-quantifiable benefits of commuting by bike, especially after a stressful day at the office.
  13. Dictionary Definitions from Oxford Languages · Learn more titan /ˈtʌɪtn/ noun a person or thing of very great strength, intellect, or importance.
  14. he just needs some secret socks
  15. SANParks also cautioned visitors to remain vigilant at all times and report suspicious activities on 086 110 6417. This does not say to me " We are trying everything we can to stop this nonsense" , it rather says to me "we are passing the buck to you to keep safe"
  16. I dont bother with the comments on these type of things, just makes my blood boil and its pointless trying to argue the facts in the comments section
  17. the words I want to say will just appear as stars on here. Sadly it not just cyclists that are feeling so helpless with our justice system.
  18. Thanks, thought maybe it was just on my side
  19. Is anyone else having trouble accessing thehub today ? Been getting BadGateway errors most of the morning.
  20. the other problem is the cost When Gautrain was first launched, I was working in woodmead. I did the math, it would be more expensive to use the train and take me longer to get to work. When i was in Greece a number of years back, you'd buy a single "public transport" ticket, if I recall it was dirt cheap, and for the next hour that ticket could be used for any public transport. So I'd jump on a bus, travel 10-15 minutes to the underground metro, jump on the metro to the middle of Athens, climb on a tram and get taken to within a few km of my destination, all using the same cheap ticket.
  21. also the taxi industry HATES any other form of public transport and will most likely sabotage anything new put in place.
  22. things break, its how the aftersales service is handled that makes or breaks the user experience.
  23. Is there an alternative route for motorised vehicles ? If so, they could turn the entire stretch of road into a boulevard of sorts, forcing motorised transport to drive at a snails pace thereby making it much safer for NMT .
  24. your phone's digital background blur got a little confused there
