  1. Given myself an itch that needs to be scratched, looking to upgrade my machine. Currently have a Breville Barista express with built in grinder. So will need a grinder as well. It has been suggested to me to look at the Eureke Mignon grinder. Is there anything else I should look at? In terms of machine, I have found a used Expobar Brewtus, Used Isomac Tea and used Rancilio Classe 5 - are these any good or should I rather carry on saving and buy new? If anyone has a decent and aesthetically pleasing grinder or machine they wanting to get rid of, in my price range, please let me know. Budget is around R25k+- all in.
  2. Giro Rincon. Available at your LBS.
  3. D’Arcs have a lifetime warranty.
  4. Anyone know where to get Breville spares from?
  5. Bars aren’t going anywhere unless I get some proper integrated bars. Going tubeless should drop a few grams and also getting a Raceware out front mount will cut a few grams too. It is a 56cm though so the weight isn’t too bad for a disc bike.
  6. Here’s some ‘better’ shots but still don’t do this bike justice. Built it up with Dura Ace Di2, besides the discs. SiSl2 crank and Spiderings + Si Stages. Came in at 7,3kg with cages, tubeless tape and a rather beefy out-front GPS mount. Just waiting for the 28c Kenda Valkyrie tubeless tyres to land and then they are going on here setup tubeless.
  7. Who said it’s a sticker?????
  8. There is basically no supply of bikes in this price point from factory, so although it may be a good PR move, it wouldn’t really be beneficial or viable.
  9. Better pictures to follow next week...
  10. Finally getting my own garage in 4 months time (hopefully) and starting to collect my tools. A compressor is the first ‘big’ item on the list and need some advise on what to get. Just going to be used for regular home use, I.e. tubeless, drying chains etc. We are going to be in a small complex so started looking at the ‘silent’ 25L options from Ardendorff. Is this a good option or should I look at something else? If so, what should I be looking at? Don’t want to drop 6k on something that isn’t going to be used properly, will rather spend that ZAR on the workbench and drawers.
  11. Mine is also that shipment ????
  12. Happy Friday ????
  13. In full agreement.
  14. Heard a debate today and interested to hear peoples feedback on who cleans their own bike and who gets someone else to do it for them.
  15. Just pulled the trigger.
  16. Attended a braai with some friends to celebrate him having a kid. 3 of us got symptoms on the same day and the 4th (Asymptomatic) find out he had it when he tried to go for an operation. 1st time I let my guard down and got hit.
  17. Tested positive on the 16th of December. Had temperatures, body aches, headache, dizziness, raised heart rate, kidney pain and no taste/smell. Raised heart rate was for about 3 days. Went for a full medical, lung function, ECG, stress ECG and a check up with the doctor. Said everything looked perfect and gave me the go ahead to do Z2 rides for a week, assess how I felt and then start ramping it up back to normal. 3 weeks post first symptoms, I did 3x 8min Z4 efforts with long rests in between and felt normal. Hoping I don’t have any complications further along but no issues so far.
  18. You normally shorten a chain from new, shouldn’t be lengthening. If you’ve cut it too short, you can add a set of extra links from a cut chain with a quick link. Alternatively, buy a new chain and cut at the right length.
  19. Find some extra links and use two quick links to join.
  20. Heard from good authority that he’ll be a Trek man.
  21. I don’t think you’ll find a 12 speed connector pin. Shimano moved away from the connector pin and went with quick link again for 12 speed.
  22. Sounds like a worn chainring...
  23. 2 is the number! 2021 is going to be good!
  24. Can get a brand new Marzochi Z2 in that budget. 34mm stanchions and you can get the agents to adjust the travel. It’s basically a fox fork, uses the exact same internals, just heavier.
  25. Until the item is discontinued, in this case though, they often assist by replacing with something of a similar value/style.
