  5. Your LBS is an Ass and clearly does not know what he is talking about In essence he is saying you cant even finish an Epic on a Chain Plse use another shop it will save you a lot of money
  6. If you can afford it take it You can always sell it later Rather take your time and find a suitable partner than the first one who comes along Good Luck and enjoy it is awesome
  7. Gravel roads nothing technical at all Very nice area to ride
  8. I Think we may just see a lady whip there asses this year
  9. Sidi make wider shoes but they dont bring them in for some strange reason I use specialized now and they fit me perfectly My left foot is wider than the right and Sidi and some others give me a hotspot after 3hrs or so I have bought Sidi wide from Chain Reaction in the past
  10. All the best Swiss See ya in the Mountains
  11. I will not even be taking my Garmin with I have spent way to much time effort and money to be booted off on such a trivial matter
  12. I am willing to carry the burden of not voting and will ride on your behalf at no cost what so ever I will even post a ride report for you
  13. There has been huge demand for the Cannondale's as it is arguably the best 29er at the moment and the suppliers obviously underestimated this
  14. 94.7 is not organised by CSA It is organised by people that actually know what they are doing
  15. Bull Then the local shops better catch a wake up. I buy from CRC because I get far better pricing and good service Eventually se gat as long as you bend over and take it the local industry will keep raping you
  16. Cheapest upgrade to your brakes My spark has 185mm standard and I upgraded my hardtail as well so all my wheels are interchangeable The slight weight is negligible and the performace gain far outweighs it
  17. I have the Aerozine on both my MTB's and no problems whatsoever
  18. Unedited Photos from 30-49 Vets Men Road Race I still have roughly 6-800 more to still upload http://www.facebook.com/PhotoDynamix
  19. What a Joke I will support Chain Reaction because I get good service and often pay half the price Free Enteprise is what it is called the days of protecting your high margins with the warm fuzzy feeling the LBS gives is slowly becoming a thing of the past
  20. I have a hardtail and a Spark I prefer the Hardtail it is much more responsive and climbs better Yes the Dualie is more forgiving and better downhill but I dont really like it and will use it for stage racing but for one day races with big climbs I rather take the knocks on the hardtail If a bike is 1.5kg heavier no matter how much weight you lose on your ass it will still be 1.5kg heavier
  21. Something I noticed at Attakwas was I saw more people pushing 29ers up steep clims than 26" but I think this may possibly be more a 10 speed issue and not having my granny gear which I really treasured on that event And no that crazy fool Dangle was way ahead of me, so I did not see him ride up on a single speed t0 disprove my theory
  22. Must agree When an organiser has never ridden a bicycle this is what happens it really is a joke People this is not a Fun Ride do it Properly!!! SA Champs is supposed to be the Pinnacle of SA cycling and it is now been turned into a real Circus
  23. Yip I have to agree But the manufacturers are having a big marketing drive putting all the Pros on 29ers and making us all itch to part with our money If I had spare cash I would add one to my collection but dont think I am ready to sell my hardtail and softail to get one
