  1. I had to take our 8 week old Husky to the Vet on Thursday morning at 3am (second time in the 3 weeks we've had him) He's had some trouble weeing so hopefully the tests are complete today and he doesn't need surgery just a diet change.
  2. Sorry for your loss. I cried like a little girls when I had to put our Lab down last year.
  3. Not sure but watching this, I might join you on that long swim.
  4. Image hosting not working...
  5. Sorry for your loss.
  6. Lockdown lesson: Stand in the line for beer... No beer braai's are not as lekker as braai's with beer. Not too fussed about the no alcohol rule but I do know it's hitting some folk hard!
  7. Then you also get the chop that doesn't distance himself/herself when shopping. Luckily my "why the f*ck you so close to me look" is quite strong so they back off. Idiots all over I tell you.
  8. Hopefully next year once our house is done I can start with the pool, I'm also looking towards the bungee cord thing. Anyone have any figures for those endless pools? I'm sure if I type in endless pool DIY there's probably some dude who's made a stand for his 40HP outboard motor and mounted it in the pool... With a disclaimer about a cage around the propeller as optional....
  9. Spar Rosmead Avenue...
  10. At the mo I'm grateful to have a job so working extra hours seems the least I can do in the grand scheme of things. I have some DIY demolition work once the lockdown is over... I'm going to save my insanity for those walls...
  11. Good on you, I'm in what you could call destruction phase! Haven't done anything in the last 2 weeks. Work is crazy so up early and finish late I'll just wait until I get paroled. Still have a dumb trainer but have just thought of something now. Watch this space....
  12. We're a month or so since IM PE was postponed, who thinks we'll race in November or do you think we'll be on the start line in 2021?
  13. That's a great idea, think I'm going to do Number 1 and Number 2's grips.
  14. I "chewed" out my daughters because they were nagging since we had to put our old Lab down last year. Then when God of Choas rocks up they were too poep scared to handle him! They got a serious talking too. He's just a proper pup that goes for everything, anyway they better with him now. Even though they do the little nervous laugh when he comes close... I do find it funny when he "attacks" the wife and she jumps 1m into the air... I do think this one is broken though, he's walking around chewing on metal and the garage door etc.. I need to get out and get him some more chew toys. The ones we have aren't going to last long!
  15. We have 4 Pizza bases left... I'm starting to panic. I might have to go the make your own Pizza dough route soon!
  16. The washing and ironing thing has always been tricky, washing easy, hanging easy but the ironing and back into your cupboard has always been about 7-10 working days of our domestic isn't around. I'm just putting it down to skeleton staff so goodluck to the domestic. The wife is now wearing her running tops (no ironing needed) I'm just rocking T shirts and shorts basically off the line. Who needs underwear?? It's impossible to ask a 5 and 8 year old to rinse and dry off plates and cups so to NOT add to the dishes. Getting a puppy in lockdown is NOT a good idea, being home for the puppy to adjust is bollocks.... Harder work then I though. The streets are quiet and you hear weird turbine type noises when waiting for a puppy to poo at 3am in the morning. Other than that, listening to a 5 and 8 year old play is hilarious... the stuff they say!
  17. I entered a competition yesterday to win a Rook bike. A fixie would look very cool in my "Stable"... Sorry
  18. 3 hours ...pffft easy peasy.....lol I managing about an hour run around the house. Can't really trust the watch as it only records about 4kms but I'm loving the 80% of max heart rate :-)
  19. It shows you how mentally different humans are, I'm not sure how else I can put it. It's not an insult to anyone but humans are so different. I told a work colleague that because of the weather I decided to do my 6-7 hour ride at the gym and he flipped so how boring it was. To me I think I handled it, however hearing someone do a static swim for lets say an hour... I'm not sure they only way for me to find out if I can do it is to try....
  20. Anyone see that lady that completed the Ironman distance at home? Static swim, IDT and run around the garden??
  21. Not cool. At least you can't get FOMO cause NOBODYs out! Take it easy, get some rest and you'll come back stronger.
  22. 4 Hours on a treadmill? That's crazy! I've done 6h30 but broke it up 2 hour stints at a time.
  23. Late to this challenge, watching what I'm shoving in my pie hole. 1kg down last week.
  24. Err yes, in Cape Town winter starts once you finish the Cape Town Cycle Tour, EVERYONE knows that! lol
  25. I did a 40 minute run in the yard. It's getting easier.
