  1. I got a call from the Rocket's guys (compression clothing), apparently their stuff can be claimed via medical aid? Best is give them a call, get the code and find out if your MA will cover?
  2. Not sure what you're looking at using them for (training/racing) but i'd say they are really good. Initially released by Mavic as an "Anniversary" Special Edition, they'd more than likely be classed in the "lighter" wheels category. I know a few guys using them and how can you go wrong with a brand name like Mavic? B)
  3. I validate my point! You don't want any illegal dealings and that weight is illegal, i'll send you my address for shipping
  4. NO Chris! You can't have rubbish like this standing in your shop, i'll take it off your hands
  5. Or think the guys are swak cos they do 200 odd km in 5 hrs
  6. NO!!! Stay away from the Dark Side, your hard earned tax money pays for good (in places) roads! & it's cleaner & apparently cheaper?
  7. Wanna-B - Glad ur OK and gonna ride another day! There's 2 types of cyclists, those that have fallen and those that are gonna fall! Bos - i know how u feel, making a decision in an instant isn't easy, esp when racing. Carnival City 2010 - I've been there where 3 club mates went down in a bunch when our group passed theirs. I never stopped yet i knew those people, was i wrong? I was riding in the top 4-5 in our group when it happened. Yes i was concerned til i got to the end and found out 2 came out with minor bumbs, scratches and bruises, 3rd had a broken collar bone (bye bye Argus). I just hope that those that k@k you out, have the balls to admit something when it happens, as you have and take the heat equally!
  8. Does this tie up? https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/76608-mystery-fall-in-knysna-pse-help/
  9. Ride your bike & bring CAKE!
  10. Like some of the DJ's have said, they should allow every sport an "open" category where anything goes. If they wanna abuse drugs, the effects will shorten their careers? You'd see guys running the 100m in sub 8 sec! B) AWESOME!
  11. Moegoe - cut out chips, chocolates & coffee....YOH! Think the winter chill doesn't help the burning of fat either! Getting up to ride in the dark doesn't fascinate me much, besides the leaving a warm bed to dress like the michelin man to still freeze & the cold helps us to binge eat Riding in Summer is so much easier, i dropped round 4kg's at the beginning of the year, living normally but just continuous training. Think i should start watching Oprah for weight loss tips Bos - surfing in CPT....u must really like cold water!
  12. 1) Either u've got carbon fibre bones wrapped in muscle 2) U're a normal human hiding a motor in his bicycle Surely it can't be that healthy for the Schleck's to be that skinny, esp at the beginning of the tour! YoH - i have to consider myself fat at 1.66 & 65kg's I'm upset, going home to ease my pain with chocolate!
  13. DG - If you are JHB based, Jon Patricios works out of Rosebank and Sandton, he does sports medicine, did the injections in my elbow. Google him, he does a lot of the rugby players etc. I have golfers elbow & also nerve issues think from hockey and sitting in front of a PC most the day. Use to suffer with finger & arm numbness and pains. Better now, hockey's busy effecting it again tho I also know an Orthopaedic Surgeon who does Upper Limb (arms & shoulders) but he suggested i see Jon 1st. PS....neither will be able to help you with bike setup
  14. Admittedly this is on Lance's TT bike, wonder how much diff the little aero cover makes? As for the whole bike with aero brakes, even the section from the stem to frame etc? Almost like the bump on Valentino's Leathers
  15. You failed to mention sitting in front of your PC the entire day surfing Cycling websites! Would muscle stiffness play a part? Since riding long distances would cause you to clench your hands causing muscles to tighten yet we fail to stretch our forearms? Thanks to the sports doctors and bio's i've seen, they've all given me stretching exercises for my arms (elbow tendons were foooook'd)! My legs just seem to go numb?
  16. Mental note to self: Don't ride in Knysna, it makes your fingers numb permanently.
  17. I was in Springs yesterday and saw a few road/race bikes that could compete, even the extra levers on the handlebars for the brakes
  18. I know other guys that won't ride Michelin anymore also due to continuous punctures. Think they with Lithiums? I use to ride Gatorskins, been riding GP4000 since they were released (and they have Tread Wear Indicators). (110-120psi MAX basically). I've also done Force & Attack, just too pricey to maintain, the rear wears quicker than the front and they diff thickness and treat pattern. I rode Maxxis Detonators once, i found them a bit more slippery, not sure if it's a slightly harder compound? Think i'll stick to Conti on my bicycle, ride Michelin on my Superbike
  19. I'd like to know if there's any price fixing involved before i buy from them Cake - My achiles heel
  20. Thanks, cos i've been looking at a set of deep sections and i'm really unsure of what to buy since you have the "bigger" brands like Zipp 404's, Easton EC90's, HED Jets, Mavic Cosmic, Reynolds Assault/46's etc competing against the no name brand "taiwanese/HK" makes at half the price. I've spoken to somebody i know who's ridden a set, also said they were stiff as hell and a really great wheel. Better than even Zipp, HED & Mavic. Just looking at as much feedback as i can get, since spending money to then change afterwards isn't what i want to do. Thanks again!
  21. The're actually called "Lightweight", seen them at Northcliff Cycles, pretty pricey but very nice! http://www.lightweight.info/index.php?id=1&L=1/ http://www.cadencecycling.com/products/Wheelsets/Lightweight/
  22. Hi All Anybody got good or bad comments on the Corima Aero Wheels? Preferably from 1st hand knowledge, reviews you've read would also help. Thanks
  23. On the old forum when you had your mouse over the topic/subject it would bring up the 1st couple lines of info from the post. Esp useful when looking at the Sale items, since if it was Road and i wanted MTB, then i'd skip clicking the topic. Now it just shows the creation date & time So i need to click on the topic to see if the content is even valid to me. Esp when you just see "BARGAIN" as the title. Can this be rectified?
  24. What about a black and white frame?
  25. 1 day when i'm all grown up, i wanna be a car!
