  1. Now I can get a decent seeding next year. I went from 112 to 59.
  2. It'll be my first as well - Pinotage.
  3. It's been so long since my previous road event that I almost stopped at the first red light I saw because I forgot the road was closed to traffic.
  4. Your 3:46 has already earned you a decent seeding for next year. I would guess maybe early in the 3's.
  5. Was that not just after 12 Apostles Hotel? There was a lot of action there with medics and someone being treated. That would have been around 12pm.
  6. And the preliminary results have been published. Racetec has me at 3:59:57, so officially I got my predicted sub 4!
  7. I started in 6F and my target time was 3:59. I managed to get 4:00:00 from mat to mat. I'm quite happy with that considering I rode most of it without being in a bunch. One interesting thing that happened was my pump vibrated itself into two pieces and half of it fell off on the Ocean View descent. I was quite relieved when I saw what happened because I first thought it was my bike rattling. ????
  8. You should be able to courier it directly to Garmin yourself.
  9. Just after the 7:00 mark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=watch_permalink&v=231366225710038
  10. The electronic version of the certificate will not be accepted according to David Bellairs.
  11. The lower part of Lombards is going to be changed quite a bit. The new flow trail will be part of it, so it might still be a while.
  12. Ohhh, I didn't realise they don't ship to SA. Scrap that idea then.
  13. You could get a battery replacement kit and do it yourself. https://newpower99.com/products/garmin-edge-500-battery-replacement-kit
  14. They do give a newer model if the one going in has been discontinued such as the 500 in this case. I sent a 500 in and received a 520 in return. This was in 2018, so now it will probably be the 530.
  15. What about all the people that don't have a decent anti-virus and who don't know to go on mobile? The site should stay down for maintenance until it is resolved. Here is a bit of info about the Monero miner. https://blog.malwarebytes.com/detections/trojan-monero/
  16. The Bontrager DropLock can work. It takes two suspension lock cables as well as a dropper cable. The only thing you need to be aware of is which way round your dropper cable goes. Some have the ball at the dropper side and some at the lever side. There are other brands as well, but this one works really well. https://www.trekbikes.com/za/en_ZA/equipment/cycling-components/bike-stems-seatposts/bike-seatposts-accessories/bike-seatpost-parts-and-accessories/bontrager-droplock-remote/p/33107/?colorCode=black
  17. I use Kasperksy and it lets me in, but just blocks the download of the script.
  18. The Rapidé kit has it all. https://www.rapide.co.za/product/rapide-xba-57-front-hub-boost-adapter/
  19. 6F - 8:14. Not too bad considering it's based on my Durbie Dash result from 5 years ago.
  20. Starke Brew side is only open Friday to Sunday, so no pizza today. Dairy Shed is open all week. I think they do have beer though.
  21. He did say it's Sroad. https://www.cyclelab.com/product/sroad-12-speed-10-50t-xd-drive-mtb-cassette
  22. That sign was not meant to be there. Patrick has no idea who put it there.
  23. R69 at SWH vs R89 at CWC. It also qualifies for the Vitality Healthy Gear discount at SWH.
  24. According to the 947 website, they use SA Seeding and not Racetec. I think the best would be to find out from Finish Time if they submit to SA Seeding or not.
