  1. They will have collection available on the morning, but it is discouraged. Here is a post from their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Paarlmtbchallenge/posts/244756004066751 Text below for those not on FB. Late Entries and Number CollectionWe have been inundated with requests for late entries as many missed the boat , and then a few requests to collect their numbers at the start on the morning for those coming from out of town on the day . Re Number Collection:We are trying our absolute best to avoid clustered crowds as Covid-19 restrictions are still in place . Having long ques on the morning of people collecting numbers are not allowed, therefore collection has been divided into 2 days at Specialized Paarl for the protection of entrants. We will have a table at the start on the morning with the numbers not collected at number collection on the Thursday and Friday . If your ONLY option is to collect on the morning then your number will be there ( you do this as your own risk, and please don't forget your signed covid form ) . We just hope that people are considerate and try and collect this week to help with social distancing . We have worked so hard to make this event possible and avoid any risks . Re Late Entries: From the start we have tried to make it as clear as possible that entries are VERY limited due to covid restrictions .In the last few weeks we posted constant reminders through the media and on social media about entries filling up fast . We sent out reminders to those who had registered but not paid and again reminded people to enter . As soon as our limit on entries under current covid level were reached we had no option but to close the portal .More than this we unfortunately could not do . As event organisers we would love nothing more than to have thousands of people enjoying the Paarl MTB , it would sure help towards the extensive expenses of the event .But this is just not allowed and we trust that if you never managed to get a entry you will understand . We thank everyone for all the support and assistance to make this event possible in these very trying times and come Saturday , assure everyone we will do our absolute best to make it a special day out for everyone . RegardsDarren Herbst
  2. The reviews on amazon might help. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V2Z7LZ3
  3. R699 seems like quite a good price for the Xoss G+ https://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/marvel-gps-computer-xoss-g
  4. I ordered 2 pairs of cycling tights from them at the beginning of March. Each one was shipped separately (2 different sizes) and I received them a couple of days apart about 2 weeks later. They were delivered to my door by Fastway couriers and there were no extra costs to be paid. They were shipped from China.
  5. It won't count towards total points. I don't think it counts towards the weekly goal either, I did mine on a Saturday morning, and nothing appeared on my goal, so I still had to do my regular activities that week to get my points.
  6. What is a qualifying Discovery bank account? Is it any of the accounts, or just the ones that have a card / monthly fee?
  7. On Sportsmans Warehouse website, only the Edge models that are bundled with a HR strap have the Vitality logo, so presumably yes. Phone Discovery to confirm though.
  8. My shoes had clear laces, but when I got my single replacement lace it was black. With their new system of including a photo, they probably won't send another to match.
  9. A google search shows age 40 as the limit, but once you click on the link it says 60. It must be a recent change that google hasn't picked up yet.
  10. Ohhh, If it says one diamond will expire this week, then you have until midnight Tuesday to use it.
  11. It all depends on who it is. My Cape Union Mart voucher was valid for about two weeks and Loot was about 3 months.
  12. My points fro Tuesday last week had still not pulled through to the rewards, but a 2 minute phone call to Discovery this morning got that sorted out. Excellent service from them.
  13. It's happened to me a few times, but this time was the longest that it took to finally show my goal which was only this morning. Any activities done before the goal showed will take a while (few hours or up to a day or 2) to reflect on the rewards. As long as the activity shows on the total points log, they will eventually filter through to the rewards.
  14. Is that in the app? Mine still only has 2 circles and it is supposedly the latest update as at 27 March. Edit: Now my phone found an update and installed the 3 circle version.
  15. Five Ten size UK10 have always fitted me perfectly until the last 2 pairs I bought after Adidas came in. Those are on the small side. One pair I can still wear, but the other is way too small; probably more a UK9.
  16. You just have to make sure to put in some effort. There is also a 1000 point annual limit on activities with a 60-69% heart rate.
  17. Wasn't that only for the Vitality Open? I got my second diamond the week after my first expired; holding thumbs for another.
  18. Yes.They are excellent training runs; as long or short as you want them to be.
  19. When submitting results for an event, what distance should one use if the actual event was shorter than it should have been? For example, Stellenbosch Cycle Tour was advertised as 102Km, with that number being on the the results page, but in reality it was a few hundred metres short of 100km. The difference means either 600 or 1500 points. Vitality can very easily check the actual distance via all the activity uploads that they have received, but will they hold you to that?
  20. Any idea how it's going to work now? Will it go back to the old smoothie reward way?
