  1. ok ... when I applied and paid online @ CSA, I didnt pay the R75, nor did I pay that to the club - so I guess somebody is gonna ask me soon to pay that outstanding R75 ...
  2. So question? How do we start a thread that reviews tracking apps for iPhone 4? We need a format for reviews eg sample screenshots, likes, dont likes, actual results, accuracy, battery consumption, user friendliness, etc
  3. The "provincial affiliation" can be removed. But, you need to be a member of a club when you buy a CSA license. I paid Club Fees = R100 So not sure, but perhaps the "provincial affiliation" is in place of a club membership, so you don’t have to join a club now. But me thinks better to pay R100 for club membership than to CSA
  4. Jip I think thats the one ... the BB just after the previous unlock
  5. Also think it depends what you want to use the Garmin for ... I was on the verge of buying a Garmin, but then decided for my purposes it is better to save the money and use my cellphone for tracking. I used the cheapest Nokia with GPS to try out over the weekend - and the data is very accurate ... I used Endomondo, but there are lots off fitness tracking apps that can be used for every almost outdoor activity under the sun The only concerns are the heart rate monitor integration, as well as a robust bike mount for those moments where you do an involuntary dismount at full speed ... but even for these concerns there are solutions
  6. Looks cool this ... nice gadget But there are so many apps & stuff to choose from ... maybe we should start a iPhone 4 thread for tracking rides, then we can test & compare Unfortunately I was clever enough to buy a US iPhone ... so it is still in a box (for about 4 months now ) and waiting for the unlock
  7. Wanna take the GF to look at the Eddy Merckx AFX-1, currently selling for a good price me thinks ... 8. Well, I would ask the following questions to help us decide: who's the musician? will she be smooching him? how much will she get paid? But yes, screwed if you do & screwed if you dont ... My vote will be yes ... let her go ...
  9. Congratz .... she's hot !
  10. This is just wrong
  11. Good point about the rest thing ... I've become very good at that
  12. My thoughts as well ... I have a suspicion that they did see someone, not sure of its a GP or dietitian already ... Can I point them in a direction of someone that deals with sports nutrition for school kids?
  13. A friend of mine's son is in std 9 and very active - rugby, athletics, gym, etc. & very good at it as well! He's fairly concerned about his body (also a history with someone calling him a fatty couple years ago) and watches his diet (13% body fat). Sounds like he did get some diet advice from somebody, but lately he complains that he hasn't got enough energy. They know that I get my supplements from a certain shop in Jburg and asked me for the details - but I'm a bit hesitant ... First question is should kids take supplements? And if ok - surely it must me through professionals that can access personal requirements ... not just "one size fits all" And who would be the best to see?
  14. Been using one for a couple of months ... works great! I suck when it comes to hydration, always drink too little & end up with hangover headaches. Now I stay on the PHG (personal hydration goal) Only thing - dont mix your powder race drink just before using the flow meter ... the grains WILL block the flow meter & you will suck your brains out with no luck ... Mine is also fairly accurate
  15. I wanna take up tri just to own one of these ... Stunning designs
  16. Jip, please - I will also buy a copy
  17. T4A does have/include contours, but its very isolated to specific areas of interest ...
  18. Apologies ... BuyCycle is net baie besig vanoggend ... Hulle het my gebel
  19. Dankie, maar iets klink nie lekker as ek dit bel nie ... dit beep net ...
  20. More more ... ek soek dringend parte ... Wat is fout met julle tel nr? Antwoord asseblief! Of laat weet wat is die nuwe nr!
  21. Exacery - I had monorails up front & never again, spend way too much time dusting myself off & picking up the bike. Nice tyres, really good - but not for cornering, there simply isn't enough grip for fast corning and you can see clearly from the pattern. Now ride with Nobby Nics 2.5 - nice & fat with huge chunks of rubber on the sides - haven't lost the front wheel since. So, its all about what you want to do with your bike, if you like fast corners, leaning the bike, etc. then I would say monorails is not the best option
  22. Mine from APBCO 55k @ R146.14 pm
  23. We started very late ... buddie had to drop his kids at the babysitter And Teaks is busy - riding the route in the "wrong" direction was also lekker fun Jip - thats what I'm worried about ... the Cradle residents getting annoyed, even before the masses flock to the Cradle ...
  24. By now this is such a boring topic, but on my way to Teak in my car on Saturday - I could see that its just a matter of time before there's trouble again. It's still early, but there were cyclists ranging from serious social weekend warrior & kie & family + the dogs to pros So the topic has been discussed to death on The Hub, and I'm sure in many other places ... Was or is there a solution / plan / or something ...
  25. Dankie Johan, ek gaan kyk of ek more na my laaste meeting (14:00) kan weg glip by werk en draai kom maak ... as dit genoeg tyd is Jacques
