It's a FANTASIC event. Right up there with the Argus - as a must do. Geez - I hope I never become old and bitter as some of the cynics on this site ! Personally - I think that riders / racers are becoming a lot smarter nowadays. They are defining their goals early and planning accordingly. If they know that they're working towards the 94.7 - they may as well enter it.... Good on them !!

Mc Lean did ask her that question. He said that some feel that she's a sprinter and the climbs can go up to 13 degrees - how would she cope ? She noted that by winning SA champs - she had to come up against SA's best climbers and she won - so she's already shown her ability.

Put yourselves in HER shoes. She is a professional cyclist. If you went to work and your "talent" resulted in a salary of R10k p/m - you can choose to work / change depending on whether / not you are happy with it. As a professional cyclist - what other "company" do you go to ? Another country ? Look at how much your life has to change because of POOR, PATHETIC administration (the actual ar$e end of the sport - administration)

I was one of many ppl that went over 2 the Lab this morning to meet RH. I must say - what an amaZing chap !! So humble - so down 2 earth and so free with his time !! He was supposed to have been there from 9 - 11am. By the time I got into the line - it took me a good 2h20m to meet him - roughly at about 12-ish. There were lots of others behind me. Andre McLean came to everyone in the line and said not to worry - Robbie is chuffed with ppl coming out to see him so he'll stay as long as it takes !! Wow !! I got a Tee signed and a cool pic WITH him. It's nice 2 know that our local boy who has become a big boy in cycling doesnt have a big head !! When LA came out last year - I spent R4k / head to go 2 his freakin banquet and was told no photos of / with allowed - bummer !!

It's so unbelievable hey ! I didnt' even know Ryan personally - yet I hardly slept a wink last night. The only thing that was on my mind was his sad passing. Incredible - how someone this talented and amazing as a person can have an effect on "strangers"
