  1. I agree with you last year tour de Worcester had a group of about 15 riders going into the last 20km. Three of them were some of the top girls who didnt want to work on the front just sat third and fourth wheel, so you do your pull on the front move down the pace line and the girls (and some of the guys) won't let you back into the line. So you have to go all the way to the back of them and move past again to work in the front. I know I'm going to piss some girls off now but I ridden a lot of races with girls in the group and I count on my one hand the amount of times they do their pull in the front.
  2. Also did the short route have to wake up way to early to drive from Ceres to do the long route. Three of us broke away up Helz and managed to stay away. One guy got dropped on the last climb and the other guy (stick insect) dropped me 500 m before the mats came in second at 1H55.
  3. Been waiting three weeks for my order now.

  6. I agree I got dropped off and rode back to Newlands. Bit extreme but can be done. (warm down ride)
  7. Had a crash on Saturday 99 er (came off at 54km/h) smacked the back of my head hard on the ground my Bell sweep did an excellent job, no problems to my head got up and finished the race. Looked at my helmet after the race all smashed in at the back did what it was supposed to do perfectly. Took it to LBS where I bought it got 60% off on a new one bought a Bell Volt will never buy a different helmet again. Not saying other helmets would not have done the same job I just no what this one did for me.
  8. I agree it tells your body to wake and get ready to race, unless you fall asleep in your chute you should be ready.
  9. Checked my garmin we were doing 54 km/h at the time of the crash. I feel realy lucky that I could still get up and carry on, feeling it now though neck muscles are sore from when my head hit the tar, nice roastie on my thigh and legs, back is scratched and sore and sore stomach muscles.
  10. Yes was about 14 km into the race don't know how many were down they were all over the road, got taken out by a girl who fell just in front of me.
  11. You may be right for the front guys but this is a seeding race its all about getting the best time not about winning your group. It proved it on the weekend A group didnt work together B caught them now most riders in B have better seeding times for the Argus now please explain to me how that helps the wheel suckers.
  12. Just downloaded my garmin saw that I went from 54km/h to 0km/h in about 2 seconds ouch. Every hour I find a new bruise, also going to have to get a new helment tomorrow as the whole back is smashed in on my old one. Most amazing thing is execpt for my one pedal and my seat there is not a scratch on my bike.
  13. Damn man we could be looking in the mirror also got a roastie on the hip(size of a CD) bruising starting now. Leg also scratched a bit, neck muscles also sore from head hitting the ground. Thank God for helmets mine is totally smashed at the back.
  14. The problem also was the whole A+B group was so big it was impossible to go help pull because you couldnt get to the front. I wanted to go pull in the front but nobody lets you through on the right, eventually saw a big long road with a dotted line no cars from the front was busy overtaking the group a down hill just over the centre line, I was cruising to the front when the marshal blocked me off and gave me a yellow card so I said F.. this just sat in the middle and wheeled sucked the rest of the race. Had a big fall in the first 14km in %, went over the handle bars and landed with all my weight on my thigh got back on on the bike felt ok for the rest of the ride.(but I'm suffering now struggling to walk) Waited for A group who I think were on a training ride because B caught them in the first 10km. Came in at 3h38 about 15 to 20min slower than I was hoping.
  15. Ok cool, no wonder the group was so big, too big actually for those narrow roads.
  16. Rode in % was involved in the big crash about 17 km out, dont know how many were involved looked like about 15 riders, hit the gravel on the side of the road big roasties on legs and thigh. Got back on the bike and sat up and waited for the A group. Man did I have to wait long they only caught four of us at the Klapmuts road. I heard B also caught A very quickly what went on there? Felt good on the bike came in with the A's at 3H38 but the thigh is now sore and I'm struggling to walk.
  17. Giant best bang for buck.
  18. Not only Lill you have to worry about I see Stefan Ihlenfeldt is also riding, just won the Roller Coaster out sprinting Lill for the win. He road with us in the DC those last rolling hills he pushed his dad up everyone. Here I am suffering up this hill and here he comes flying past pushing his dad.
  19. Have you seen what Greg Minaar can do on a cycle cross bike?
  20. Happy to be in %...... give them pain Darren.
  21. Have to defend them here I think the World Series was a news paper that had something to do with baseball thats why they called it that.(under correction) Still stupid name to call it.
  22. Americans love to be the best in the world at games they created.
  23. They call them great athletes but they only play 10 seconds at a time (and they change around all the time offence and defence)..... and with pads and helmets.
