  1. Eleanor Not big into American cars but I would not say no to this Mustang.
  2. Two old ladies sitting on a park bench a flasher flashes them one has a stroke and the other..... could not reach.
  3. Check guys with wheel chairs.
  4. Mabe you should put your seat lower. :D
  5. Forgot the best value for money one. (Voted one of the top 7 mtb tracks in the Western Cape by Bicyling Magazine) Eselfontein R0.00 R0.00 (granted you have to go to Ceres 1.5 hours from Cape Town)
  6. Imagine if she took her training wheels off.
  7. How does it feel on short steep climbs, my friends with 29ers say they struggle with that. Also notice it in races. I would like mabe to get a 29er. I have Eselfontein 4kms away and a bit worried with those tight technical bits.
  8. I agree yes and no. Last year Kevin Evins rode all the Marathon races on a 26er dual and won everything he then rode the Karoo2coast on a 29er hardtail and won easily again both were Volcans. After Karoo2coast he was back on the 26er and won everything again. So why not stay with the 29er? He now rides a 29er Scott but that is a new sponsor. So the question remains are these guys riding what they want to ride or what the sponsors want? I see Adrien Niyonshuti and Paul Cordes are riding Volcan 26er in Marathons and coming top 5 so why arent they riding the Volcan 29er?
  9. I hear what you are saying there is no doubt a 29er is faster on the flats but arent you suppose to climbing mountains on a mountain bike?
  10. Get off the tar man. Buy a road bike.
  11. Find a old power aid or energade bottle put that in your jersey, drink it first and at the first water point throw it down there, they always have dirt bins there someone will throw it away for you.
  12. I have also got Ritchey WCS bar and stem and I think its great.
  13. Look even Burry says it if he want to win marathon type events 29er if he want to have fun on technical twisty stuff he uses his 26er. Still wonder why he uses a 29er on XC events?
  14. I dont realy have a problem with a guy having a "hissy fit" it wasnt that bad. Felt a bit sorry for his kid though...."here dad have a victory drink". "Piss off son cant you see I'm celebrating". Just would not have wanted to see the fit if he had lost, dont think super cycling would air that. Mabe youtube.
  15. Let me say this if I was an owner of a bike shop and the cops had to come into my shop just once because I had a stolen bike I would cr*p my pants and make sure it never happens again. Secondly after all the alegations first time it happened on the hub surely you should start covering your ass. How to do this you ask????? 1. Don't pay for the bike straight away when the person brings it in. 2. Tell him you want to check if its stolen (if it is, he will probably leave or cr*p his pants) 3. Put a pic on the hub ask everyone if they think its stolen (the hub has a huge network surely somebody would know someone who knows someone about the bike). 4. Ask him where he bought the bike if its a top end bike surely he bought at a bike shop mabe? (phone the bike shop) It seems with all the problems you had with stolen bikes you didnt do much to cover your ass. Or am I wrong?
  16. Its like buying a Ferrari and only putting a 4 cylinder in it. Ok sorry mabe XT = 6 cylinder.
  17. I dont know how you can sell a MTB bike for R56 000 and then only put XT on it??? Surely for that price you want XTR.
  18. Train at night. Friend and I went for a ride last night, bit worried after the ride that my right big toe got frost bite, there's thick snow on the mountains here. Took about half an hour and it was back to normal. Its impossable to train in the morning here as the frost is lying thick. Must be about 2 degrees out there.
  19. Also noticed guys strungling on the up hills on their 29ers.
  20. Well if you only want to be 9th 7th and 4th in the xc races then a 29er. (sorry Burry) Otherwise a 26 hardtail.
  21. If you bought a timing chip that morning I dont think your time will be up for this race.
  22. Great race, great weather, cold front moved in nice and late. Just recovered from a cold so wasnt my best time for the 55km but a nice ride none the less.
  23. If LBS is willing to do that kind of swap just think what he thinks of the Scott?? Makes you think doesn't???
  24. I agree I was a golf nut even buit my own putting green in the garden, was a 6 handicap but then the bike bug bit and now thats all I do think I have played golf three time this year and my handicap has gone up to a 9. Got three bikes two mountain bikes and a road probably worth over R100 000.
  25. Thanks man the only thing standard on the bike is the frame and the seatpost which I'm thinking of putting a carbon one in.
