  1. Hold down mode for 3 secs
  2. Very true. My comment was based on what I read. I had the impression of a road descent like the MTB Dalco descent at Lake Garda (now off limits due to risk). Now that I've seen the video, the descent doesn't look more dangerous than any other really.
  3. Bloody ridiculous to finish a stage on a descent like that, if you ask me. Just too risky.
  4. awesome! Jeff Jones must have got his spaceframe and his handlebar ideas from you!
  5. OK, that does indeed take the cake. Overblinged and yet brings a smile to my face. GREAT job!
  6. Inside for me - neater without an issue (yet)
  7. The rules say that "Obstruction in the final sprint" may result in relegation or disqualification. Clearly Sauser was in front, and Paulissen rode into him when he saw the barrier ahead obstructing his side. It does not look to me like Sauser moved from his line at all, he just held it. Paulissen didn't (and couldn't without running the risk of hitting the barrier up ahead). I can't see why Sauser would have to have moved inwards to leave space for Paulissen because the barrier wasn't straight; the barrier was obstructing Paulissen, not Sauser. Furthermore, it does not look like Paulissen would have won the sprint if they didn't collide - he wasn't making much progress. Sauser has thirty days to lodge a written appeal to an appeal board. IMO he should win his appeal.
  8. Looks like the youtube clip has been removed. Anybody got a live link?

  10. Hey' date=' I can help you there. I bought a RM7 hanger and it fits my RM4. Not cheap though if you think what it is. Almost bought a new RM4 just for the spares. [/quote'] There you go, who needs an agent for answers - they're all here! #Pete#2008-06-10 10:16:40
  11. Cool, I don't even need a ruler to measure this.
  12. Just get the best and never look back: Comes in Ti or stainless steel. http://www.kingcage.com/HomeOnWhite.jpg

  14. Sounds like many of youo guys are very happy with them! Any problems with the contact point as in this review? Will I need new shoes? http://reviews.mtbr.com/blog/look-quartz-pedal-pro-review/
  15. I was going to get a pair, but have been very put off by reviews up to now - so good to hear what people who've ridden them think. linnega - it seems you have a bit of an issue with the stack height - would be interesting to know how they fare on our rocky terrain? Did you have any issues with your shoe - pedal interface?
  16. OK, so uphillers have right of way. I'll still routinely pull off for downhillers if I sneak uphill on singletrack: 1. Often I see them before they see me. 2. It may be easier for me to stop if they're flying. 3. I need the rest :-) 4. I want them to have a good time.
  17. I'll go against the flow and say that all singletrack should be unidirectional. It can be down (mostly) or up though, depending on how it's designed and what the intended 'loop' is. Trails are getting too full now to have bidirectional traffic. Arrows and no entry signs at the start of singletrack sections are called for. For what it's worth, I believe the rider heading downhill should have right of way whilst trails are unmarked as they are now. (the opposite to downhill on jeeptrack). I expect the rider climbing up to get out the way, but prefer not to have any along the way as there's no convention and I'd have to slow down not knowing what they think. (Clearly I now realise you all think diff to me - sorry for blasting you off the track) #Pete#2008-05-26 10:43:32

  21. True - the 'culture' of doping seems not to be ingrained in the MTB world. I can think of a few dopers though: Jerome Chiotti Filip Meirhaege (?sp) Didn't Paula Pezzo have some 'beef with lots of testo' in it for dinner once? I think some of the downhillers (Wade Booth) got banned for dagga! others....?
