  1. Glad to be back on the bike after two weeks off due to work/being sick.
  2. A summary of the thread for those that don't want to read
  3. Thanks for sharing your story! Congrats on finishing and achieving your goal. Mad respect!
  4. I found this video made by tristantakevideo very informative. It is amazing the amount of detail that goes into training. Also very interesting to see how the science evolves over time. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, mr. @J Wakefield
  5. I agree. That POV camera work just adds another dimension to the broadcast. Live streaming with great camera work from the e-bikes, helicopters, etc. For free! We are spoilt.
  6. Only if you don't want split peas in the racepack
  7. *extent While we are at it
  8. What an adventure! Thanks for taking us along through your writing.
  9. Awesome read, thanks! Looking forward to reading the rest of your experience.
  10. Nice and wet group ride next to the Kruger National Park.
  11. That bike is beautiful and duidelik! Congrats
  12. Tell them you are going to pay your next premium with a handwritten voucher... Hope you get it sorted, and as some has advised already, get a good broker
  13. Always important to avoid overtraining. That extra 10 m would have been too much
  14. LOL It is important not to sprint too early and burn all your matches before the finish line. Good to see that they left it this late
  15. Hi Damien, make contact with @RobertWhitehead here on the Hub. He will be able to assist with great advice and might even have a bike/help with a build? Cheers
  16. May you heal up completely and quickly!
  17. @FoxyTake Robert up on his offer. From the bikes I have seen him advertised here and his willingness to help, I think you can't go wrong.
  18. @shamangoofYou should be able to see the routes people frequent on Strava. As mentioned by @WR 1.0 you can ride Kaalrug. In Hectorspruit (about 20 km away) there is nice riding on the farms. Contact Dirk Lourens from Dirk Lourens Cycles - I am sure he will be able to assist. Here in Komatipoort we are spoilt - we can ride on some of the farms (only on some of them and only if you are a registered rider as these are working farms) - We can also ride to Marloth Park, luckily you can avoid the N4 when doing this. You can even drive to Marloth Park and stop at one of the restaurants and do a ride. If you ride all along the fence you will be able to do 30km+. A nice bonus is that a big portion of this route is against the Kruger National Park.
