  1. please stop blaming others. the thread is "How I will make South Africa's roads safer". Not "What must others do to make the roads safer". But if there is nothing more that "I" can do then you (replace with I)have to start working on others. The better way is to say I have done all I can do by myself, now I will campaign to raise awareness, funds ext. I will support Sign Up, I will get involved to lobby political parties, I will advise and mobilise others, I will be an example.

good news. Now a legal precedent has been created, it may become easier to get such rulings in the future.
  9. here is the quote: Recent research on Puff Adder venom in South Africa (*citation needed) suggests that keeping the victim active may actually decrease the venom's effect by allowing it to spread through the lymphatic system instead of remaining more localised. The argument is that since the poison is cytotoxic, it will damage cells far faster in high concentration and lead to pronounced shock sooner. The recommendation is to relieve the victim of his / her backpack to reduce the effort required, walk out of the Berg, and get to a hospital as soon as possible. Depending on where the bite site is, walking may be difficult and very painful, so progress may be quite slow.. -http://www.berg.co.za/puff_adder.htm
  10. when you are racing for seconds and milliseconds, then start worrying about rolling resistance and wind resistance and milligram weight. As you are not pushing for the sprint win, don't stress yourself out. Rather stop at the Brass bell for a beer and enjoy the ride.
  11. hatfield cycles in queenswood is good for me. You can try Fritz Pienaar cycles or Bruce in Lynnwood. The best bet is to compare the vibe, price and service in each shop before deciding what works for you. different strokes for different folk, is all I say
  12. don't think, just do. Useful hints: Protein shakes every night. Compression pants massage lots of liquid. REHYDRATE in your backpack, and one bottle. (don't trust just sport drinks) eat (biltong and comfort food) and drink (chocolate milkshake) avoid alcohol during the and between stages.

  22. okay I give up. THere were complaints that men only look at scantly clad thin women and don't care for the fuller figure. So I provide evidence that there is a market for the fuller figure, and the guys can go shopping online for the same as what he gets at home. AND I GET SHOT FOR THIS maybe the women are right, men prefer perving at thinner girls, and that brains and uniform are not turn ons??
