  1. The Turbine tripple crankset is 64/104 and the double crankset (which I got) is 80/120
  2. Nope. RaceFace Turbine. Can't afford XX :-)
  3. Bought a new crankset and it turned out to be an 80/120 BCD, and not the 104 I was expecting. Yeah, I know, should've checked and not ASSumed. Question is, is this a new standard for 2x10 or something? Will more chainrings become available that is made to 120 BCD? Suddenly my options in chainrings have become significantly smaller. Don't know if I should just flog the cranks for this reason, although I really like them, and really want them.
  4. ME TOO! I feel so dodgy when I make a sharp right turn.
  5. If you have only 1 wheelset, then Arch with revolution spokes. Crests are race wheels, they are nice to have as a second wheelset.
  6. Lost your bike?
  7. Stunning! Where was that taken? What area is your house?
  8. Now that is a sub-standard response
  9. Ah, yes, I think you're right. Won't be able to run disc brakes on them. So I would have to look at the ISO disc one's then.
  10. Hi I am looking at getting some hubs, for standard 9mm QR. Just want some info on what the technical difference is between the Chris King Classic Hub (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=2612) and the Chris King ISO Hub (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=2039) ? Is the ISO some other/older/proprietary type system? All I want to establish is whether I should use the classic or the ISO hub in my decision making, comparing process. I don't want to buy something I can't technically use in the end. The other hubs I am considering are the Hope Pro II's, which I know will work. Thanks for the enlightment

  12. Wow. From what I've read it would seem that perhaps both parties involved didn't handle it ideally. Certainly the OP admitted as much from his side. Honestly, never did I get the impression that he had anger issues. Flying off the cuff with unnecessary attitude and quick conclusions (in frustration) perhaps, but that is not quite "anger issues". Perhaps you should've read all the posts before coming to such a conclusion.
  13. Well, the term Mega as explained by Wikipedia : Mega- (symbol M) is an prefix in the metric system denoting a factor of million. So, 1 Megapixel, for example, is 1 million pixels. 1 Megabyte is 1 million bytes .... etc Therefore, a megastore, I assume, is 1 million times bigger than "a store". Which begs the question : what size is "a store"? Without the answer to this question we still don't know what size a megastore really is?
  14. Nice pics Tuna
  15. I know I am in the minority here, but it just doesn't do much for me
  16. I started to get a "little ITB niggle" and thought I'd see if it goes away. It got worse, I kept on running, hanging on hope. There was just one more event I HAD to do before taking the required rest. It was a month to go to the event and I reckoned it was close enough that it wouldn't cause *too* much problems. That was in July 2008. It has been just over 3 years of on and off, doctor to physio to bio to physio to doctor to another physio. In the last 6 months (after taking a full year off) I have *very* slowly been able to build up some running mileage again. Things look set for me to do my first 21km run (in 3 years) on 9 October. I am not allowing myself to think of the possibility of a 42km yet. Needless to say, it has been a hard lesson to learn
  17. 1.) Don't panic on the first part of the swim. What you are experiencing is normal 2.) When you get out the swim chances are you will approach your bike from another angle as when you exited after parking it. In the confusion after the swim I have found myself looking for my bike even having made a mental note of where it was. Get some physical beacon or marker or something that will help you locate your bike from the entry side of T1, after the swim. Same thing for T2, although I have found my orientation generally better with T2 3.) Don't start your run too fast. Force yourself to slow down until 1-2 km's in 4.) Enjoy

  19. Ah, so that is why I can't understand much of it
  20. Some cool graffiti there!
  21. Yeah, that's pretty much it. That particular photo was shot early morning when the light wasn't too great yet, straight into the sun. If I expose to get the detail in the clouds right, then the brushes in the foreground is pretty much black with no detail. If I expose to get the foreground right, then the light is so bright and blown out that you cannot even see that there's clouds. The solution is to take 2-4 photos (on a tripod obviously so the composition stays exactly the same - although you get some intelligent software now that even allows to handhold HDR photo sets to be merged to a degree). For each shot you only focus on getting the exposure for a particular area correct; so only the sky in one, only the foreground in another etc. Then, when get home, you basically fuse (either manually, or using HDR software which can sometimes give overly weird results) only the correctly exposed parts of each photo into one image, usually with the result that it has that "HDR look". Pretty sweet, but not to be overdone to boredom.
  22. No. Just for fun. But I have considered it
  23. Nothing wrong with drama. I love drama in photos. The waterfall estate shot is particularly nice. How wide was that lens?
