  1. Cherry Veneer MDF, they are coaster size (100mm), R40-00. I’m in Alberton if you’d want to collect, can courier too, but that costs more than the item...
  2. Do it when you get around to it. Fortunately, I’m making and selling them, so I can send you one and you can get to all of those jobs you’ve been putting off...
  3. This is quite interesting, a municipality that is thinking progressively. I have to assume that this is being driven by people such as the guys from SPS - https://sps.africa/ - who have their offices at Lourensford. https://stellenbosch.gov.za/2021/01/28/stellenbosch-determined-to-become-the-first-municipality-without-load-shedding/
  4. The 14 would not work for me, with time, it must either be a quarter, half or whole, i.e. :00, :15 or :30 All other numbers must be even's, that's why I'm thankful my shoes are a 10 and not a 9 or 11... As a matter of interest, is your bicycle 10, 11 or 12 speed?
  5. There's a thread here that kind of explains the history: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/145268-zini-what-happened/ To summarize that thread though, it seems Zini was an Italian brand, that was produced under License by Gotty Hansom in his factory in Bophututswana in the 80's and early 90's.
  6. Talented bunch of musicians!
  7. Contact Loosecog, he does replacement hoods for a variety of brakes. Though he's been very quiet here lately. Will WA you his number.
  8. Some years ago (when suppliers still gave Xmas gifts and before all of the anti-bribery policies were put in place), I was given a Wave, 2 years in a row from the same supplier. One lives in my "DIY" toolbox, the other in my bike toolbox. Nicest corporate gift I've received.
  9. Red, Yellow, Blue, not Green...
  10. “Look” flip flops...! [emoji2957]
  11. Was handheld, some quality also lost with sending the pic via WhatsApp and uploading to le Hub.
  12. Taken by my 13 year old with his phone, through the binoculars.
  13. https://youtu.be/ctbg_zvbyIQ
  14. Maybe a French Cleat could work. The 18mm to 20mm thickness might be a limiting factor though.
  15. I see many challenges with this project: Hub spacing - track or fixed hubs are generally spaced for 120mm. So it’s unlikely the wheels will fit a MTB frame without spacers. Chain Line - assuming you get the spacing sorted, getting the chain line right will be tricky. Chain Tension - unless you get lucky and find the magic ratio, you’d probably have to run a tensioner. Fixed gear doesn’t like a tensioner, “back pedaling” takes the tension out of the system and you’ll end up with chain slip. Braking - you’d need to find a frame with V-brake bosses, as disks aren’t an option on track wheels. Aligning pads on the different wheel size may be a problem, that’s assuming that the rims you have, have a braking surface. All in all, I think the idea is going to cause you some frustration. But please post pics of you do decide to give it a bash!
  16. Piktjas won't do it justice. It's a pearl white, looks fantastic in the sun! The red is also really nice, it's almost a candy apple red, I had to flip a coin to decide!
  17. I’ve been building a bike in my head since I saw Wayne’s prototype more than a year ago. COVID delayed his timing somewhat. I placed my order on the weekend. I know red bikes are faster, but going with white. It’s going to be a slow build, as I haven’t collected too many other bits. Have some wheels on order too, will post pics once the build begins!
  18. If you like Nutella, you must try the Nutella Cruffin's from Red Door in your neighborhood... It's a basically a Croissant baked in a muffin tin, filled with Nutella, and dusted with sugar on the outside to give it some crunch.
  19. Sorry, just imagined you and the toppie commuting to the shop on the bike, what a sight that would be... [emoji23][emoji2957][emoji15]
  20. Haven’t been at Rietvlei in ages, this reminded me of a passed Hubber...!
  21. I have high BP, I realize I’ve forgotten to take my tabs when I hear my ears buzzing. It’s definitely gotten better since starting BP meds, but according to my sister in law, who’s an audiologist, I have to accept that I will live with it forever.
