  1. Heal up soon, shame man worst thing ever being hit from behind, nothing you can do. Sounds like phuza'd joyriders, especially being so defensive after blatantly causing the accident, that's a red flag right there.
  2. Stephen, looks like you make a great product at a decent price, the website is a bit hard to navigate and confusing. Enough to make me go, ahh maybe next time even though the stuff looks promising.
  3. Doesn't that get quite expensive? Technically as long as you always change the chain within wear limits that's all that needs replacing.
  4. That guys up to something non-kosher, listed the Zee crank and shifter together at what what looked like a bargain price, then a short while later it was listed as all "sold", then the stuff was back up again split up and more expensive.
  5. Wait Wait!!! Stop the press!! He's got his ad back up again: https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/91482-pinarello-dogma-601-frame/
  6. There's a deranged seller trying to flog his cracked and repaired Dogma frame, calls it "like new", every time some one asks a question he deletes the ad and reposts it again. Goes bonkers/hyper aggressive if you have the audacity to question the description, I asked how he could call it like new if the frame had been cracked and repaired, he went ballistic. The seller and his bike no doubt have issues. Watch the classifieds he posts it every now and then.
  7. Any pretty fast Dual core and up with 4Gb computer will do fine, faster would be nicer but a doable computer is just is a bit slower when editing and takes longer to render, rendering you can leave overnight if need be so not really and issue. Sony Vegas is nice software for editing, easy to use and with pro features, well that was when I last used it, current version should be even better.
  8. Fox float fluid or 80/90 Auto trans fluid works great for free hub pawl lube
  9. At R500 a month lets hope the replacement is not just an equivalent but an upgrade to the flagship model. R500 for bicycle insurance, yoh, what value does that cover?
  10. Tried that on Hope hubs, worked well for a week or 2 and then back to the angry bees.
  11. Slick just mentioned he got 2500-3000km a set, which is why I think I need to look into them
  12. Luxxotica also owns Sunglasses Hut, imagine the markups/profits they achieve owning the manufacturing/distribution and retail sites. R2-3k for 50g of plastic is quite a good business to be in!
  13. I got the same thing in a pair of glasses that I looked after, out of the blue I noticed lots of little cracks in the lenses. Must be a fault with the material used to make the lenses.
  14. Do you guys equalize the caliper pistons before you set the brakes, have found that is Normally a common root cause for brake rub.
  15. Who is the best for the Bronson's in Sa price wise? The whole dual chamber thing, which will no doubt be freakishly expensive never mind new rims, couldn't you run a low volume tube inside a high volume tubeless tyre? Like maybe a road tube pumped up inside a 2'5 29" tubeless tyre so you can run Stan's for punctures and run low pressure in the tyre with the tube there to save rim/stop pinch flats etc, ghetto dual chamber tubeless?
  16. I like how the tit with the gun looks straight into the camera. Hope they catch them.
  17. Ja taking off the wheels is unnecessary and just asking for issues if you accidentally pull the brake levers with no wheels in. But each to his own!
  18. I don't think that's much wear if at all, maybe the light/flash is doing that, impossible to tell from the angle the photo is taken from. Noticeable wear on the cassette is normally also accompanied by those little burrs on the side of the cog teeth.
  19. Nice sleuthing oke's!
  20. From those pics it all still looks pretty fresh and good to go, lbs love prematurely replacing the drivetrain, easy money. Just make sure you watch the wear on the chain and always replace it well within wear limits. I keep replacing the chain until the chain starts slipping on the cassette cogs or getting suck on the chainrings, when that happens on a new/within wear limits chain then you know the parts are finally toast.
  21. Hope the guy heals up soon, amazing how long you can wait sometimes for the ambulances to finally get a person rescued, not like the spruit is some lonely koppie in the middle of the out back, it's right there in the biggest city in Southern Africa.
  22. Well that's a first, emergency situation out on the trails and the rescuers start a thread on thehub for advice on what to do. Seeing you only got a reply an hr later I hope the guy got helped and is ok!
  23. Oh Sh1teeee, your bone poked through the meat and went into the dirt and a piece snapped off? I'm trying really hard not to picture it happening because it's making me feel really ill. Oh my, well thank thank goodness for modern medicine, 60 odd yrs ago with a break this severe they would probably have had no other option but to amputate your hand. Yikes this makes me think
  24. If someone was going to hit you on the head with a hammer and they gave you an option of wearing a helmet or no helmet, what would you choose?
  25. Hauw!! Heal up soon Slick!
