  1. so, 3 % price difference.... sounds pretty normal to me?
  2. about time to get some sort of legislation regarding old unroadworthy cars going. And no, just because we have doubt who is going to police it, it can't mean we shouldn't have the law. else we'd be legalizing rape too. regular check are needed - as one of the many steps - to make roads safer. Think about it: SA, 40 million people, 10 million cars, speed limit 120km/h, 11000 people killed every year. Germany, 80 million people, 40 million cars, no speed limit, 4000 people killed every year.
  3. would love to help - but at my current level of cycling a pair of sock is not going to make much of a difference in my case... :-(
  4. Slow bee, your daughter getting married?
  5. Have the exact same problem and same indoor trainer. the clamp just doesn't fit my bike. I currently set it on a fairly high resistance and use my gears to shift / increase resistance. not sure if that is the way to go, but haven't found another solution.
  6. Dear K-Way team, if you struggle to get hold of me to advise me of winning the opportunity to review your products on my dream-Namibian-save-the rhino-challenge as result of my post in the competition (page one), I will check my PM's regularly from now on :-)
  7. Spot the Özil:
  8. Oh crap, I own one... not brand new any more, happy days after 45k kms... touch wood.
  9. camerons, I think he is referring to you :-)
  10. when bike sales men wore suits. awesome!
  11. just got this in my inbox, coming later in the year - Chev Trailblazer. should be big and interesting... (unlike my BMW where you pay extra for everything this should have lots of extras included). http://content.mkt912.com/ra/2012/2602/06/4141929/images_4922_ChevyTrailBlazer05.jpg
  12. they really go well with that outfit. Or Tyler's pink jersey...
  13. Big thank you to Keith from Cycle & Sports in Durban for going out of his way to help - much appreciated! Even though my wife managed to find an XS GTw Sensor 2.0 somewhere else (not sure how she did it, I spent 3 days of phoning around and she showed me how it's done...), Keith was helpful from the start - if anyone else needs bikes for very short people, he might have a few ideas for you!
  14. new pair of legs.
  15. what happens if I import the whole bike from CRC?
  16. My wife can't see herself doing downhill flying.... ("are these people mad!?")
  17. wow, that is one beautiful bike... to spoil or not to spoil her
  18. thanks for your help - will drop you a PM!
  19. thanks for the replies! Had a look at the Giants - no CPT LBS could get their hands on them. Anyone know the importer? I do like the idea of importing a frame, but then I am not exactly a talent when it comes to building up a bike for her from scratch....
  20. Hi there, following the topic on "Who rides with their wives / girlfriends..." - I am a bit lost, as my wife is now more serious than ever and wants to upgrade to a full suspension, but to put it in a nutshell, she is short. At 1.53m, we don't seem to have any luck finding any XS bikes and the dealerships tell us that that is the only option that would work for her. Size S bikes seem to start for people from 1.60m upwards (at least according to most of the LBS). Even woman specific bikes - nothing available in XS, have tried the likes of CWC, Lab, Olympic etc... Are there any short riders here, what size bikes do you ride? Where did you find your bikes... Is this maybe a sign? :-)
  21. that's almost quicker than driving from town to that part of the world ...
  22. maybe they get replaced by that cut-throat Probike brand....
  23. I would love to take part in this cycle challenge to raise awareness and funds to support the Save the Rhino Trust in Namibia. Imagine cycling for 7 days in the remoteness of Northern Namibia's Damaraland! Cycling can't get much better and more purposeful than this. I would gladly wear K-Way gear all the way doing this challenge... (men's category) http://youtu.be/GVzGtZebitE credits: Rhino Africa Safaris
  24. yeah, that is a smart way. we really going to increase tolerance like that. well done. I hope you were joking, honestly - otherwise I suggest we report you and set an example - road rage is unacceptable, but it counts both ways.
