Guess I can write this one off as school fees - It looked a bit worn, but I still didn't check it that properly before I bought it. Never really crossed my mind that someone would let their stuff get in such bad shape. Oh well. On another note, Manitou Black for sale. Great condition, just been serviced.

The Spruit - There's been trouble at the exit on the Northern side at the 12th Ave bridge. Cops did catch some guys there though, but please be careful. Also, according the BigBen, the Bryanston bike park can be pretty dangerous.

If it was my money, I'd but a Mongoose Teocali Super. Don't think you'll get better value for money than the new ones.

The Goose may be forkless, so I may be forked. Just need to check when I have to drop the fork off with JB. May also be working on the trials course, will see. Either way I should be there.

And the best part about pavement riding? Pedalling up a hill, sweat everywhere, hardly able to breathe, legs burning at 10kph and passing all the cars with a huge smile! I don't know what's better, commuting via the Spruit or the pavements...

As much as I love my regular bike shop, you just can't deny the value for money when you order from CRC. I picked up a pair of 2007 Eggbeater Candy SL's for under R400 in September. The local guys still wanted to charge me R1200 for the same 2007 models. So for the price that they wanted for just the pedals, I put together an order for the pedals, a stem and some lock-on grips, plus shipping. And I still had change left over for a few beers. I still support my LBS for most of the smaller stuff though.

Good thinking HR, unfortunately I have deadlines looming. Will try to pop by there from 4/5 to whenever.
