  5. Sell all your wheels ...get a set of these with matching red spokes..and they lighter than Zipps
  6. BLIKSEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!IvenS!!!! never mind the bike !...Just give me those wheels!!!!!!
  7. Still no news of this on any Cycling web sites...Im not convinced its true!
  8. That just a valve extension as your new wheels have a deep profile its required to screw an extension over the tubby valve so you are able to pump it up ,Tubby valves are usually short around 25-28mm. if you want you can unscrew in once your wheels are inflated.
  9. Like the new TCS shorts!! goes much beter with the rest of the kit.
  10. I would like to see him at Barloworld ..But a proffesional cyclist has a relatively short career which could be over in one fall....so my head says Discovery, cause they have the financial back up to treat Ivan they way Lance was treated and build a team around him,
  11. "I am also able to join with a non-ProTour project, with fixed technical and economic guarantees," continued Basso, who has considered Barloworld, directed by Claudio Corti. The risk is that a non-ProTour team is at the mercy of the Grand Tour organizers to be offered a wild card selection for the Tour de France or Giro. Basso continues, "The setup is interesting because in three years Barloworld could become strong like CSC." If Basso is to sign for a ProTour team it is likely to be Lance Armstrong's old team run by Johan Bruyneel, Discovery Channel. The team showed interest in Ivan Basso in the last years but the Italian, instead, chose to renew with Riis' CSC. The American team, which saw to Armstrong's seven Tour de France victories, could be the only team to accommodate Basso's economic needs.
  12. It?s could be the day some were dreading and others were praying for: according to reports emanating from Spain, the Spanish Cycling Federation is poised to follow the lead of the Italian Olympic Committee?s exoneration of Ivan Basso and close all disciplinary proceedings against riders involved in Operacion Puerto. The news follows the investigating judge?s statement last week that none of the evidence collected by the Guardia Civil can be used by sporting federations to impose sanctions. Meanwhile, the criminal case which sees Eufemiano Fuentes suspected of masterming a vast doping network remains ongoing. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the estimated 200 bags of blood seized in the initial wave of arrests in May are currently undergoing analysis in a Barcellona laboratory. In an interview with Le Monde on Monday, UCI president Pat McQuaid hinted that he still harbours hopes of penalising riders identified as Fuentes? clients, possibly by appealing the Court of Arbitration for Sport. McQuaid reiterated his recent claims that new information on the implicated riders could come to light soon.
  13. Discovery have lost alot of riders at the end of this year , which leaves them with opportunities to build and sign riders around Basso to support him!
  14. Just read this on another site!! German outfit Milram had also been linked with Basso but their team manager, Gianluigi Stanga, told procycling today that their interest in him is now over. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  15. Money Talks....And Discovery have alot of that!!!
  16. Ivan Basso and Team CSC have mutually decided to part ways according to a press release issued by the Danish team this morning. The Italian rider, who has been embroiled in Operaci?n Puerto, has been allowed to race by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) while the Operaci?n Puerto investigation is ongoing. "After all that has happened, especially this summer, Team CSC and Ivan Basso have agreed to part ways," said Bjarne Riis in a press release from Team CSC. "It has been a very difficult decision, but both parties agree it is time to move on. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ivan for his time with the team and for the great results he and the team have achieved together. At the same time, we wish him all the best for the future." The Italian mentioned early this week in an interview with France's L'Equipe that he had been in contact with teams Discovery Channel and Milram.
