  1. Iv let cycle fusion know, so they will be on the lookout for anything that comes up with the descriptions
  2. Where abouts in Weltevreden park?
  3. There is no doubt about it, you are getting sick....
  4. Interesting enough, do you know that Claudio Corti shuns the use of Lactate tests etc. Very old school, and might work, but lets be honest, the more you know about your body and how it reacts under stress, the better the quality of training you will be able to obtain. Quality is better than quantity when it comes to training.
  5. Nah, you didn't step on my toes BOS. I didn't mean to direct any animosity towards you; sorry if that is the way it came out. It's just that there is no free thought that is stimulated with copy paste. For instance, a point was made whether slow had any aerobic capacity. Now, I dont know the capacity of the rider, and no-one will without a comprehensive test being performed, but I can guarantee that slow will only be able to perform a certain amount of intervals that his/her (sorry, Im not sure of your gender slow. SORRY) aerobic capacity will allow for. Slow, make sure you dont exceed 3 intervals a week, and dont perform intervals on consecutive days. On the other days, just ride your bike at a nice aerobic pace boeing2009-03-25 02:16:47
  6. I do. Considering this is my field of study. I go at great lengths to make sure what I say or write is in my own words, and is referenced properly. Anyone can use the copy-paste function. When honours selection for biokinetics and exercise science is so tight. I care.
  7. contact fowlstart. He will be able to sort you out
  8. killswitch engage - End of Heartache
  9. There is your problem. It's your wheel protesting about the change in frames.....
  10. I agree with "TheLegend". I cant help but feel that Kimmage struck a nerve here. And the first thing that Lance does is hide behind the cancer. He has done wonders for cancer awareness, but the way he portrays himself as the saviour, even as a martyr is quite perverse
  11. Pretty much what Im thinking. They aren't just going to sign a rider. There should be medicals, a battery of tests and various checks. If there is a sniff of a muscle disease they wouldn't sign him. So the question is whether neotel did the tests and ignored the results; or was it they just couldn't stress about it; or did they fail to think ahead and act responsibly
  12. yeah - how the hell did he get ephedrine. Where did he get it from? all medicines containing ephedrine have been made schedule 6. Which puts them on the same level as morphine There's no way in hell the doctor would be prescribing S6 drugs for cold or flu www.100percentme.co.uk/store/1181295719.665LID0.pdf After reading this page' date=' I am of the conclusion that ephedrine isn't as potent as you would have me believe. [/quote]Many of the common or garden decongestants have now been re-scheduled to S6. My doctor prescribed Clarityne-D for me a few weeks ago. The pharmacy filled it, no sweat. I guess it may have a banned substance in it. Have not checked but it probably does. My point is that an Over the Counter medicine is now a S6 due to a Buareaucratic Process and why would a doctor NOT prescribe an effective medicine. FanD, it seems to me you are VERY emotionally invested in this issue. If you had read Eben's message carefully, he says it was his responsibility to check. He knew the risks, got caught and punished. That is the correct course of action. If you believe he (or anyone else) should continue to be punished, does the same principle apply to every crime. Like having your driver's licence permanently removed for skipping a stop street or talking on your cellphone. Punishments are decided by society, and if they are not right there are mechanisms to change them, by a defined and consensual process. Eben, right or wrong has had his punishment, and having "served his debt to society" should be allowed back in. I think it is highly unlikely he will ever do something like this again. Nor many other hubbers. BTW, if I am sick I will take the medicine prescribed whether or not it contains Eff as I would rather get better quicker. I hardly consider it doping, but accept that the pro's do need to be careful. There are lots of cheats out there, after all. I guess I am one, as I have ridden under the influence of cold meds before. Ephedrine is potent. It does have an affect. Doctors cant just give you the stuff, that's the point.
  13. Ooh, those speedplay pedals are beautiful. Dont expect to do that much mileage on them though
  14. you will save a lot of weight by changing to SRAM Red.
  15. I vote "Yay". Maybe a colonoscopy too
  16. Anyone in particular?!?! The other thing, is that Ephidrine has to be signed by Doctors. You cant just get your hands on it. Also, it leaves the body in a matter of hours. Draw up your own conclusions
  17. Ephedrine - it is a plant alkaloid, however it is now made synthetically. It not only releases stored epinephrine, it also directly stimulates both alpha and beta receptors. As a result, various adrenergic reactions occur that are similar to epinephrine, but however are less potent. Ephedrine has excellent absorption orally and penetrates into the central nervous system. It is eliminated in the urine, unchanged. It raises systolic and diastolic blood pressures via vasoconstriction. It produces bronchodilation. It produces a mild stimulation of the CNS, and as a result, increases alertness, decreases fatigue and prevents sleep. It improves athletic performance.
  18. Thank you Iv been saying this for months. How can he get away with it. Cricketers are doped up. As are Rugby players. Cocaine is a big thing in Rugby. And have a look at Warner. Im telling you now he is on something illicit
  19. Interestingly enough, something that I never noticed before, but I just picked it up now. Joe Friel's Training Bible is edited by Tudor Bompa
