  4. Quick tip to force unit into mounting on computer : 1. Turn the unit off 2. Hold the PAGE/MENU/ENTER button (bottom left) down 3. Plug the unit into USB while still holding down the MENU button 4. Your device will eventually go to mass storage
  5. Mine is freezing up at Garmin startup screen... JOY Any suggestions?
  6. Not familiar with those specific models. The components mentioned is comparable in performance and value. I would say look at the wheelsets offered on the bikes and also go and ride both bikes to feel the difference in the geometry.
  7. Evening, Brilliant pictures. I would like to talk to you at some stage. I'm quite familiar with the Baviaanskloof region, but would like to go back for a 3rd trip with the bikes and friends. And would possibly like to incorporate some parts of your route/ideas with my own. Keep well. Regards, WJ
  8. Yes. The width of the chains are different. So a 8/9sp chain cant work on a 10sp cassette, but the other way round it probably can.
  9. Just a quick question. Is your marathon seeding results kept apart from your marathon results? IE. You have to ride SAS marathon races to climb the rankings in the seeding for the Marathon races. And a relatively good seeding from doing half marathon races will not help in your marathon seeding. Is this correct?
  10. But with regards to teeth on the crank blade, there is no difference between the two. AFAIK. The spacing between the sprockets is more of an issue on the cassette.
  11. What is the profile of the course cumulative altitude wise ? Laps for senior men? Length of lap?
  12. With regards to bottle necks at Vori-Berg. I have never had such a problem at this race.
  13. Again Clive and his team organized a descent well priced race with a fun route! It is great to see how the numbers grow and how the event gets improved relatively quickly. Just a suggestion : The reasoning behind seeding only pre-entrants (Online) is a bit "unfair" considering a line entry would not get you seeded. If the rule counts, the line entrants should also be given a chance on race day to prove that his SAS index is worthy for instance of an A batch start either by printing out his SAS index with past results or even just printing out a recent Vori-Berg result. If the race could only be entered online for instance like the Trailseeker series then the rule makes sense. But as proven again this Saturday, there were allot of line entrants, possibly allot more than expected. And I believe that is an aspect that you would like to keep incorporated ( obviously trying to get more people entering online), as this has always been a bonus for riders entering on the day itself with no late entry fees. Thanks again for a great race. Regards, Dub
  14. Someone should order a powerlink for R20 and see what happens.
  15. Amazing wheelset! If you can find a second hand set you can't go wrong for the price. Is quite pricey new. Very durable for weight.
  16. Thanks. I think they are around R600. Aren't they from Australia? Got very nice gloves in the meantime from Garneau at R180 which is perfect for Road Riding and what I was looking for as a second set.
  17. Anybody familiar with Grippp gloves? Very expensive R400 + Considering a set as an extra pair. Have Spez gloves currently.
  18. Online entries closed earlier than stated on Cycle Lab's website. Will there be line entries? And also what will the fees be? There were no indication on Cycle Lab's website that there will be line entries available. Regards, Dub
  19. Any races this race can be compared to similarity wise? IE something similar to Vori-Berg or Babba's ect... Thanks, Dub
  20. Good question.
  21. Ikon in 29" format is amazingly amazing! Current setup Rocket Ron Evo TL ready front, Ikon EXC back. Ikon gives a more plusher ride opposed to a Racing Ralph at the back.
