  1. Niiice! Welcome to the club ps: your chain is on backwards
  2. I call bollocks. Chris didn't tighten them properly. They came lose. Put new ones and go ride that Argus like a winner. Dont over think it chris, you'll be fine by replacing them
  3. Minimum 8nm, with some lock tight, but I go up to 10 with my crank bolts 6nm is as tight as a what a blue bulls supporter uses to close a brannas bottle...
  4. Did you not hear the creaking noises on every pedal strokes before those nuts departed? Mine whine like an Ace if its not tightened properly. Use the correct tool (bolt tool ) and a little blue lock tight and you'll be fine On a positive side Chris, you can give it all a nice clean up before Argus

Can you imagine what adverts will really be like if we didn't have the literature feds? I want to trade a metal (or composite stuff) double triangle attached object with I think 26 round thingies that make you go faster down a hill or sweat up a hill, connected by some metal alchemist who can from the 1600's. That is all being turned by some medium length flat metal bars which have some nice places to let your feet relax on top of. They're more comfortable if you have the correct winklepeckers on All of this sometimes balances, sometimes not on these two round jobs which have some rubber on them, if you know what I mean 😉. It makes a funny zzzzzzzz sound when you go down a hill. I'm not sure if it's broken? The best part is that on these two triangle thingies is these bits that move in and out of each other. These make it feel like your sitting on the couch watching the blou bulle run up and down the field It doesn't use petrol or electricity so you'll be safe from eskom and the petrol pomp It does cost some ronts to maintain, but so far it's only cost me 46 bucks to get a hole in the round rubber job fixed after I didn't like to do a lank big rabbit style hop over the local pothole in my road I bought it from my local mass shop called macro or something, it was not too much but you can send me fowty free hundreds and thousand and eleventy ronts and you can park this lekker magafter in your garage where your poppie parks her purple corsa. She'll smaak you stukkent for it. You can thanks me laters, Bru Bring back the comments aseblief....

  7. I've got one you can have. I'm in jhb south
  8. The girls look better in tights than baggies 😘
  9. Nope, the #endurobro's are worried that lycra and spandex are going to take over the baggies and mandatory knee guards down by your ankles after the ride for the rest of the day brigade
  10. Anyone got a link for the entry and list please?
  11. If the race organisers did their job (read as their responsibility) then you wouldn't be arguing that point then, would you?
  12. Sigh... ok
  13. Ace, please send me your banking details. I want to pay you for the effort and the 40km of fuel you used to go and pick up that litter. I was prepared to do it for free (and I live far away), but I think its important that you get re-imbursed for your efforts and time. No, really. I'm serious. I'll pay double the AA rates for your vehicle and time and give you a free lollipop. I do not have a horse in this race. You obviously do as the organizer is either a close friend, your mrs, your sister, your mom, or a relative of yours - of which I don't know. I admire that you stick up for her on social media - kudo's to you. But if you cannot take constructive criticism about a race organizer or a particular event then I'm afraid you cannot see the wood for the tree's. If they were climbing into your friend/mrs/mom/sister/relative personally then I'd probably support your efforts in defending their actions, but trying to justify why it was a mistake and then taking the credit for correcting it doesn't make you the final word on this issue. It does not, however, give you the right to criticize others as to how they call out the obvious, to which you have agreed was an obvious oversight. Please, dont be that internet bully to others... bru

Where would we measure the 49,52 or 55mm chain line?
  17. An alternative view: I never realized that the trash was still there. I'll let the organisers know asap as I know them well. I'll keep you informed if there's any issues and or once its been cleaned up. Thanks again for letting me know That's a win 👆 (And what's more of a win, is that you cleaned it up too. Well done - I owe you a cuppa java as a thank you - let me know how I can do so please) Its obvious you are close to the race face, but post race wrap up is as important as pre-race set up. You know that. Being able to discuss it on a public forum is allowed, and if the organisers get a tongue lashing in the process then so be it. Organisers are allowed to take the bashing as well as compliments on a forum too are they not? Maybe all race organisers can take a feather out this cap for future events to do that song and dance in front of the cameras as you put it, and do a bigger clean up than their allotted area - wouldn't that be nice? The irony as I type this, is that a ridejoburg email has just popped into my inbox...
  18. Northcliff Cycles in joeys that had Assos shorts (not bibs) on special recently... for R500 a pair. Maybe check with them if they have stock? And I take it you wear a pair of baggies over your shorts? I think the likes of Fox do a combo pair of baggies with shorts - maybe look at that option
  19. For sure, its helps bring those celebrities' down to earth occasionally... 😉
  20. Sweet! Its saving the heritage site that I care about. I'm glad you're on your way too, don't forget to post some pics of how much litter you collect please 👌
  21. I tell you what Ace, why not meet me there on the weekend and help me pick it all up. That way you can support your local organiser before he gets bashed further and be constructive. If you're keen I'll bring the black bags. Yes?
  22. Its Fryday...
  23. Make a vacuum inside that pipe, then break the seal on the one end suddenly - that bag/twine will zoot through at warp speed = science is fun 🥰 I digress, but its a great idea from Dave
  24. Not tonnes, but yes there is litter. It's been cleaned up a lot in the last 2 seasons. Gear, not so much as that gets redistributed amongst the locals. On some peaks, like Denali, you get fined if you do not hand your sh!t back to the parks people when you exit. Reminds me of that litter point on the Monte race in a world heritage area that turned out to be a dump zone and not sorted out timeously. Wood for the trees lads, wood for the trees
