  1. STUNNING WIN!! Dwars door Vlaanderen AND Tour de Flanders wins in four days. Amazing. Edit: And by a second division team nogal.
  2. Pog for the win, but what an exceptionally exciting finale setup???? Even me loins are tingling.
  3. After cycling through a downpour on the PE Baakens Valley trails this morning I’ve been enjoying the TdFlanders poolside sheltering from the sun under the mango and banana and giant palm trees. #gloriousafrica Ironman competitors must be enjoying the afkak.
  4. … and then there’s the little boy in this late 50’s body, just got back from from a rain-soaked ride that included a downpour. Foul weather riding has its moments. My all-time fave cycling experience was biking up a snow covered Swartberg to camp solo on the peak, and the picnic brought up by the then-wife and kids the next morning. The cherry-on-top was the cloudless, windless full-moon night in the snow. Now to clean the ride while watching TdFlanders.
  5. No surprise when KFC built a branch near the SAPS provincial training centre that was a floor below my business. Strategy mostdef worked, despite all the SAPS training staff and trainees getting catered teas and lunches every day their huge roller bin was still overflowing with KFC packaging each day.
  6. https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/dwars-door-vlaanderen/2022/startlist What a start list!!! Can hardly wait. Cold with headwinds, no rain expected at the mo.
  7. Not the first time that Senegal’s home fans shine thousands (yes thousands) of laser pointers into opponents’ eyes. Despicable. It’s also happened quite a few times in the continental club champions league. They’ve been getting away with it for years in crucial matches, and equally disgusting is that the match results stand.
  8. YASSSS!!!
  9. Pierron visibly crapping his white DH kit seems like karma for his disgusting n-word social media posts last year. C’mon Bruni! Oh crap, Pierron wins.
  10. Thanks. Still keen to know what the best result is for a rookie in his first F1 race, which was my original question.
  11. Never been good at remembering stats like that. Thanks mate, remarkable stuff.
  12. A bit like “When’s the last time you saw white dogshyte?" Nah, Leeds still wear white.
  13. Nice to see Alfa Romeo doing unexpectedly well with even the rookie Zhou placing well. Am a bit of an AR fanboy having had a few quick ones. Zhou tenth in his debut race, what’s (edit: who’s) the highest placing rookie in his debut F1 event (edit: and where did they place)?
  14. After Mohorič’s win there's been a massive increase of pro cycling news publications analysing and reviewing dropper posts for use on road bikes. They’ve all sat up and done gone entirely stunned with excitement.
  15. “If you haven’t got the confidence to play, and you can quickly flip it and say have you got the bollocks to play - that is the football reality.” - Lampard after their 4 - 0 loss Eunuchs.
  16. .
  17. "I was going to the race favourites I know and showing off the dropper. They asked me what I was doing with a dropper and laughed but I warned them that if they follow me on descent, it's at their own risk.” 🤣🤣 "Due to the UCI rules we had to use a dropper that was on the market and so went for a MTB model. We tested a 12cm dropper but that was too much and meant the pedalling wasn't efficient anymore, so we opted for a 6cm device. I had a grip shift on the bars and lowered and lifted it several times on the descent of the Poggio. People have long dismissed the idea of using dropper posts but the technology is more advanced now and they don't weigh much more than a regular seatpost." https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/mohoric-ive-destroyed-cycling-now-everyone-will-use-a-dropper-post/
  18. I’ve found it helpful to routinely do post-ride hamstring and calf stretches for a few minutes. That and my preferred pool resistance workouts with the guidance of a senior sports science lecturer on campus. Mostdef made a difference in my case.
  19. Coulthard: “The Mercedes seemed to be off the pace." Verstappen: “Very. Very!"
  20. From a basement cellar? Right mate, so this “?” is what’s known as a question mark.
  21. Hmmm… The plot thickens. PS. All twelve bikes stolen from the cellar, a guest farm employee or manager or owner?
  22. Great meals and coffee as well.
  23. YASSSS!!! Beating the reigning world champs makes that 3 for 3 for SA and England 0 wins out of 3.
  24. Odegaard was immense. 5 direct chances created, 5 duels won, 3 recoveries. Before half time.
  25. Soyuncu last man handball preventing a goal. How’s that not a red card? Loads of punters will feel hard done by, Soyuncu was pre-match favourite to be sent off first.
