  1. Full fit with pressure mapping. Everything checks out after the fit. Just not the pedals. Seriously demotivating after spending the money on everything.
  2. That was what the bike fit was for right? As for the Saints. You are welcome to make me an offer...
  3. Yes. Waiting on feedback.
  4. Bike done. Couple of small changes to the bike itself and cleats set according the mad science behind the machines. Won't call it money wasted but I am disappointed. Foot pain persists under the 5th metatarsal in my right foot. Starts after 15 minutes. New shoes, new pedals, footbeds, bike fit..... R5k? maybe more spent. Going back to flats.... priceless.
  5. Because nobody imports them. May also be that the US models sit on a tow hitch receiver and not a tow ball like ours. Ps… if the arms on your rack scratches your bike then something is wrong. Never had a bike scratch from a rack. Hanging racks I can’t comment on. They are pretty janky contraptions.
  6. And he ends up with a criminal record for "assault with the intention to cause serious bodily injury" That never looks good on a job application. This guy just pissed his entire life away with one stupid decision. He deserves everything coming to him.
  7. Mr Fistycuffs must be shitting himself by now. All the best OP. Hope the recovery is going well and that it doesn't leave lasting physical and mental scars.
  8. I'm going to use the KS LEV as an example. The routing for the cable runs outside of the frame and you can cable tie it to the rest of the cables or if you run 1x just use the routing for the front derailleur https://kssuspension.com/product/lev/ On the product image you can see a protrusion on the side where the cable attaches to. Drilling the frame... I'm nervous about this on alu frames. Steel maybe. The second problem with drilling is where the down tube attaches to the BB shell. It might not be open to join the seat tube. That leaves routing in the top which causes a very sharp bend in the housing so I doubt that will work. If it was my bike I would take Droo up on the offer to get a post. Spend the money on a new post and have the peace of mind for a warranty as well.
  9. Good to see you didn't make a .... Giant .... mistake.
  10. Dude! A 7 year old on a 24" MTB kicked our asses going up Mandlas at Red Barn. He was wearing a rainbow stripes shirt so that must have been why. The distances are: 1km 2km 5km 10km 15km I didn't see any trail markings for the 25km. Not sure of the age groups but we saw many kids aged between 5 and 14 maybe.
  11. Otherwise try find a KS LEV. Best post I've ever used with external routing. The cable is completely sealed never needs maintenance.
  12. Installed the 148/142mm boost adapters and mounted my Orbea MTB to the trainer. Hub is either microspline or HG so it went straight on. I assume it is as simple as installing the part with the 148/142mm writing on it on the non-drive side and the small part that slips over the axle of the Kickr. Then pop the bike on and install the axle. Should I worry about the 148/142 part just sitting loose and the axle supporting everything?
  13. You’ll need one with external routing. Not sure if Rapide do these but I know Lyne does.
  14. And the vagrants living in the bird sanctuary.
  15. For what it is worth, please complete the survey. I for one am totally bummed out by this. I helped build there in the past. Only for some stupid government official to ruin it.
  16. From Jozi Trails: We thank the Jozi Trails community for all your patience regarding information about the new Delta Park trails parallel to Bantam Drive. Jozi Trails has been busy gaining a clearer picture of the situation and engaging with the relevant parties. Previously, Jozi Trails had put out a request for soil donations to use for maintenance. A miscommunication resulted in approximately 6000m3 of soil being delivered - significantly more than anticipated. Jozi Trails notified City about the issue and immediately made plans to start moving the excess soil. There were unfortunate delays and complications during this process, and it incurred substantial costs. The majority of the soil was successfully removed off-site and after consultation with the City of Johannesburg it was agreed some of the soil could be used for maintenance and to build the new trail (at the top corner next to Delta School) On 2 November 2022, there was a meeting at Delta Park between Jozi Trails and representatives from the Environment and Infrastructure Services department of City of Johannesburg (EISD) and Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo. EISD raised complaints about potential infringement of environmental laws regarding non-native soil in a wetland area, the full details to still be shared in a formal GDARD pre-compliance notice. Based on these environmental concerns and with the threat of legal action against it, Jozi Trails was instructed to: ➡️ Remove all the soil deposited in Delta Park for rehabilitation, trail maintenance or trail building ➡️ Remove all soil that was used to repair erosion damage on the walking path along the tree line (along Bantam Road) ➡️ Remove all the jump line trails constructed in the top corner of Delta Park ➡️ To return the areas back to their previous state. Jozi Trails as a non-profit organisation that knows the importance of fully engaging with our community and stakeholders in successfully developing sustainable, environmentally conscious trails. During the past number of months, we have been in continuous contact with the relevant City departments to ensure that all work was done with approval. Unfortunately, our communication with our users was not always as consistent. This development comes as a surprise and disappointment to Jozi Trails. The financial cost involved in addressing the complaints could potentially see Jozi Trails having no option but to cease operations. We thank the Jozi Trails community for all your support in keeping the trails free to use, well-maintained – and enjoyable – for everyone. 17. Gorilla tape. Cut a long piece and stick it along the length of the hoses. That way you have more grip on both. The trick is to push the new hose into the frame while gently guiding the old one out. Don’t pull on it too much.
  18. If the new one behaves as well as my current one then sign me up. Love my H30
  19. Yup
  20. Between the Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sportage we see an average of 0.5l to 1l/100km difference. Always travel at whatever the speed limit is. 2 bikes on a towbar mounted platform rack.
  21. Wipe down thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to help dissolve the wax buildup. Car detail places will also sell a product to clean paint with before they apply ceramic coatings. Sunlight liquid is another option. Then consider ceramic coating the frame. For washing you can use a car shampoo but without the fancy additives.
  22. So HTFU until the pain goes away?
  23. That was me. Absolutely stellar service from them. Shipped to my door overnight.
  24. @MORNE I got them from Specialized Kenilworth. Those Hope’s are sexy! First ride. Good support for the outside of my foot. No more pain… numb toes persist but I haven’t switched the custom footbeds in yet.
  25. I have the same lockout lever on the OIZ and I used an over the bar dropper post lever. IT SUCKED. Ended up moving the lockout inwards on the bar and running a normal under bar lever. Looks... less than stellar but works well.
