  1. little up, little down, its all good. Hope the wet stays away...
  2. Telkom in Midrand are diabolical - just useless...
  3. it looks like major chafing from a flatfile/rasp or something very rough being dragged over the shifter / attachment bolt/bracket. I use Thule and their rack dont allow this sort of rough movement nor do they attach anywhere near to what you show. Also, hard to do that by hand when cycling through normal wear and tear imo. Must have been something done by a vandal when you were parked somewhere, or LBS.
  4. CL leaves from BA at 5am
  5. why bother commenting if you are just furthering rumour and innuendo
  6. good news. would be nice to get hold of the midrand bikejackers...
  7. Its fine to start with, but most likely you will enjoy the experience, have fun with your friends, start feeling fitter and better about yourself, and an upgrade will feel like an irresistable urge. Selling your huffy may be difficult, so most likely you will be writing off the R2400 as a startup cost, and then spend a lot more on what you feel you really need.
  8. where is this quoted?
  9. why bother...
  10. close your eyes! haha, also trust your bike and relax (especially your arms and grip on the handlebar), often speed is your friend over obstacles as lack of momentum or dawdling blocks your front wheel and causes you to fall. Holding the bars too tightly, stifles the subtle body movement you need to steer around objects at speed. place your weight slightly towards the back and stand up to absorb bumps in your legs more, lighten the front wheel, also assists with riding fast downhill and braking.
  11. mountain king front and back, you should have no issues. It took me through the wet 2010 Sani2C, it will manage Barberton with no problem
  12. Imo, after they halved the logistics and doubled the entry fee, it just costs too much. Still on my bucket list though...
  13. Love my Tarmac, stick it out, you will too
  14. Get outdoors and ride! on the IDT, technically you are going 'nowhere' fast
  15. +1. but all in all happy with my Festina Chrono Bike.
  16. Recently change to the Romin on my Road bike after using SDG for years, very nice indeed.
  17. They are designed to make tree-clipping easier. The amazing thing is that even when removed, you are still able to ride your mountain bike.
  18. I bought my track bike from them, arrived fine with UPS. I have also had items shipped by them to UK addresses, free, also fine, and bought from their stores when in London. So far so good, I am currently waiting for a set of wheels to be dispatched.
