  1. You see Kulula's excuse being that the policy change was made known through a "soft launch." What they are really saying "WE WILL ROB YOU BLIND WHEN ITS TOO LATE AND YOU CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT!!!" This is really poor taste and Kulula is going to do a lot of damage with regards to their public relations.
  2. I would also be keen if there is anything like this around.
  3. You have really done an awesome job!!! Well done
  4. First time back on the bike commuting to work for about 2 and half weeks. Have been struggling to get rid of a cold. Feels great!!

    The Rules !

I am always amazed that people have time to write this stuff. Make for an interesting read though.
  6. Thanks for the posts guys. Really appreciate it. Hairy, yes it is Oak Valley and I may see you there. BTW, I have the cateye HL-EL 350 light. Will this be adequate for night riding? Here a Cateye link
  7. I did my first two Argus's on a MTB, with slicks and it really makes a difference. There are a few guys who would think you a pansy for doing this. I figure, I do it for fun and why not?
  8. Hi everyone. I am planning to do a 24 hour MTB event next year with a couple of mates. I have not done such an event, nor has any of my friends. Do you guys have general tips of what you need for such a race e.g. food, lights (what strength?), gear, cycling plan, etc. We are just doing it for fun and not trying to win the race. Thanks

    Cricket......

This is sweet! We are about to take the game! Just hope Smith gets his century.
  10. Has anyone had any more problems cycling under these bridges? I've been very wary since I read this post first. I've cycled under these bridges 3 times this week in the mornings? What has your experience been?
  11. I am looking forward to try out the track. Haven't been on a MTB trail in a while. Will be a good to see some dust again
  12. I got this from another site Yet another link to a German ATB forum thread: http://www.mtb-news.de/forum/showthread.php?t=487301 It contains a download link to a little prog. that can convert Bryton Rider enhanced GPX files to SportTracks fitlog format. The first post in the thread describes how to obtain the Rider GPX files. Cheers, OMB
  13. Try Cyclelab, they will be able to give you some good advice.
  14. Hi Harryn. Where is First ascent based? My chamois is starting to tear loose and I want to get the stitching redone? Can you send me the contact details?
  15. This is a real positive move . Would be great if more public officials would start cycling to work and push for greener cities. That is what I love about the European countries. You can safely cycle anywhere with designated cycling routes and cyclist awareness.
  16. I took those pictures last night for you, I just don't know how to upload them. Can anyone assist me with that?
  17. I've got one at home, but I have no idea what make. Bought it at Sportsman's Warehouse and used it on my Golf 5 plenty of times with no problems. I will have a look at home, take a picture and upload it for you later
  18. Has there been any problems in the mornings. I normally ride out along the N1 in the afternoons, and haven't had any problems. Coming in on the N1 is a bit more tricky.
  19. I have kept one of my old phones, got an extra sim card and only saved the most critical numbers on my phone. My wife, parents and closest friends. This way people can call anyone on quickly and I am guaranteed that I have airtime on the phone. Also I don't like the idea of riding with an expensive phone. Another good idea is to save the number you want someone to call under "ICE - Name". Paramedics are trained to look for that number first.

    Child seat

I agree Joji. We are really chuffed with the Weeride. I will probably get another support bar at some point for my bike, so that when we go riding as a family we can transfer the seat to my bike.
  21. All right. I'll let you know
  22. Sure I'd be keen. I am out for the moment, recovering from a cold But after that would be great. When and where did you have in mind?
  23. Well, I went with mates who are suppose to tell you Delvera is a bit rough. I have had that response a couple of times. Haven't gotten to a skills clinic yet. I have been planning to, but twice they were full and on other occasions I just couldn't make it. With the road season being in full swing now, it will need to wait till next year.
  24. Well the recovery didn't go as I had hoped. In the end had to miss the race on Saturday. I hope to make it for the race this Sunday .
