I'll go: 1. Getting into the venue was difficult, and took a lot of time- so i suspect a few people missed their start groups; 2. I felt uncomfortable in the large groups, which did not really break up. Suppose it cant be helped with such a flat race; 3 . Other than those 2 gripes i enjoyed the race - it was well organised and marshaled. Had lots of fun, did 3.30 from JL

Is there any way anyone can assist with a late entry which does not entail a last group start. I am willing to consider corrupt relationship, in line with government policy.

What a horror story. Sections 41 and 51 of the Consumer Protection Act prohibit this type of conduct. In fact I think that it also constitutes Unconscionable conduct as read within the meaning of section 40. Section 56 of the CPA entitles you to return the goods for a full refund. CPA rights aside, you also have remedies under the Common Law to cancel the agreement, return the bike and to demand a full refund, based on the material misrepresentation. Some good advice is given above regarding alerting SARS, and I am sure that Pinarellos agents will vigorously enforce the brands rights of IP - but whether that will benefit you directly is doubtful. You hit the eft button, you take the hit - the exception to this is when you do an online transaction with a card, where the bank will indeed reverse where the if the does not deliver.
