  1. Hi Hubbers, So, might be having to look at a new set of rubbers for my wheels in the next month and I have looked at the pricing on the Ultremo R1 and GP 4000S tyres, both in the same pricing bracket. I am looking for a nice low rolling resistance, race tyre, but also a tyre that is going to give me a little milage. I am NOT the type to change out training wheels and tyres, so whatever I do eventually buy, is going to need to stay on the bike and service both my training needs and racing needs. Any experience with one / both of these tyres?? I would really appreciate your input and comments / suggestions.
  2. That one needs to be done for us boys in the Cape
  3. eina That is just a "little" too quick for me Which "little climb" are you talking about, the one going back up to Plattekloof??

  8. My link here is the link from the december thread
  9. We started a discussion on this in December. It is a good idea, but doesn't seemt aht anyone actually has the time to handle the club admin aspect of it all. Licensing can be gathered through the Hub Club. I did some research on it in december and thats about as far as it go. Do a search on the topic, you should be able to see the last thread on it.
  10. Cape Town Cycles Mark is a LEGEND as well as Henk. Top Notch service... AND CWC Always helpful and look after my interests......... ALL the guys
  11. Hey, thats bril. I tried that once on my road bike at about 46km/h ont he tar, without a ramp.... Needless to say, I didnt land it
  12. And how much weight am I gonna be loading onto my "skinny" bike?? Nah, my high pitched screams do the job, but crickey, its just about keeping your head up and looking forward when riding two abreast, its not that difficult to do? I would probably shove the bell down someones throat
  13. Had the EXACT same problem over the weekend, infuriating Then you have to ride more int he middles witha VERY narrow bicycle lane and theaten to take out the oncoming cyclists. Speaking of which, to those taht ride in the lane (more than 1 cyclist at a time), PLEASE do us all a favour and Look ahead when riding 2 abreast, instead of taking over both lanes and NOT seeing oncoming riders.... My throat is sore from asking a LOT of you to "Use your lane" at the last minute
  14. Thats the way. I use 32GI all through training and "racing", only in the latter part of the "race" do I bash down 2 gels in the space of an hour, just to get ot the line with a bit of "energy"
  15. Awesome buy. I have had mine for about 6 months now and it really does ROCK!!!
  16. Doing it. Gonna be fun climbing those hills again
  17. Might need to take you up on the offer. Thursday morning more than likely, gotta get my rims made up today.
  18. Cippolini, fighter of note and SO full of the 'racing" attitude. In todays terms / scheme of things..... Cancellara. What an absolute machine. Hanging it all out for his team and just about sedning himself into annihilation up the climbs, so that he could act as a springboard for his team mates. A whole heap of Respect
  19. Nice, just a little on the long side for me for the morning ride during the week. I have to split mine into a 1 hour morning and another 1 hour evening session 4 days a week. Bit of a pain, but traffic to get to work is MORE of a pain..
  20. Ja buddy, the Welsh Country Side is calling my name. Kids having a little more grounding and a better chance of a little bit of a future. LOVE MY SA, but gotta make the move for the future of my family
