  1. Stupid, just stupid, but this guy's aiming is freakin impeccable!! He'll never be able to use aim as "wrong hole" excuse tho!
  2. Good luck Landy!! Just stay strong, it's almost over
  3. Not sure what your position is regarding animals but make sure they do not go near the newly sealed floor. A friend of mine's dog took a nice stroll over his newly painted garage floor, there was paint everywhere in the house!!!
  4. I looks pretty?
  5. I got onto the bandwagon late and only bought in early Jan I'm actually considering selling at a loss, and playing the minor increases en losses at the moment. It's jumping and dropping about R300.00 at the moment
  6. ETH dropped like a rock over the past 48 hours. I initially bought (very little) at around R11k / ETH. It dropped to just over R7k this morning and seems to be picking up now again. I reckon the international clamp down is hitting it HARD!!!
  7. Yup, I'm super impressed that the fork survived!!! Further the service from Santam was impeccable! They just called to say that payment is loaded
  8. Yup me. Fixed one not too long ago, ended up being my frame that's skew more than the wheel's dishing being out. And now this: Just waiting for insurance to get their ducks in a row then I'll get the new wheel.
  9. How so? Got final confirmation of registration from CIPC today. Had some delays due to the specific requirements they were battling with. So on Monday it's opening of bank accounts etc. Due to the issues with CIPC I decided to postpone my resignation until the middle of Feb, just allow for all the crap to hit the fan and be washed off before I resign. ETA on opening of the doors are moved out to mid/end of March.
  10. Yup I did thanx!! He had an issue with power outage at the shop that screwed with his landline. If all goes well he'll be building me a new wheel within the next week or 2
  11. Northern Farms R50 p/d
  12. To resurrect an old thread. Does anyone have Anton's cell number for me? His shop number is not connecting.
  13. And no KOM to show for it? Couldn't be that big then
  14. "I have never waited more than 10 days" Not saying this is brilliant, I also stated that "I have never" therefore this is the max I have waited. But allowing 1 day for order processing, 2 days for shipping internationally and clearance, and 2 days for delivery already puts you at 5 if there are no issues. The norm locally, with exclusion of Wayne from Rapide, is delivery within 2-3 days. Then they do not have international travel or customs to deal with. As for the patience part: A lack thereof is why my bikes probably cost more than they should have to build. Walk in and buy is my ultimate cure for lack of patience. *With Wayne 12-24 hours is long for delivery!!
  15. And replaced I hope!! These things are so personal that it's hard to judge people on them. Just always interesting to see what's excluded. Also what the issues are that can't be settled in a divorce. During my articles I had clients who settled millions of R's but could not agree on how to split a collection of an adult nature...
  16. Ouch! But a good idea to have the calculations checked. I have seen gross errors in some attorney's calcs. As for the Pre-nups, the newest exclusions I see on a day to day basis are: 1) Pensions and annuities, of course including the growth and replacement thereof; 2) Investments; 3) Motor vehicles at replacement value. Odd items I have come across the past 6 months: 1) Collections (of all sorts but including stamps, coins etc); 2) Firearms; 3) A surf board.
  17. I have never waited more than about 10 days. However this is always with DHL. What shipping option did you choose?
  18. Stunning Sniffie!! From the stickers I assume you sell them, what do they go for?
  19. Yup that is what I plan on doing. If all goes according to plan this conversation will take place Friday morning Will be an emotional conversation on both sides, so I am making myself cue cards to keep things on track.
  20. Some good and terrifying news on this side. My CIPC registration just went through. Will be starting my own legal practice beginning or mid March. Still have to resign at my current firm tho, feel terrible as I really like the people but I do believe this is the right move for myself and my family.
  21. Re Legal advice: I got this part sorted. I'm an attorney myself , but will have the contracts drafted by an independent party. You're friend's biggest mistake in my opinion was getting married in community of property. As she would be entitled to half of the total estate value, which would include all his stakes in enterprises and trusts (depending on how they were setup). Without going into too much detail, ours would basically work as follow. Marriage will be out of community of property with the accrual. Accrual will basically have small things like running day to day bank accounts etc and possibly a vehicle depending on the circumstances at the time. Everything else will be run from a trust/company, at an arms length. Therefore if we split, the split itself will not effect the share holding capacity. Further to that the shares will be of the same value so of no effect in the calculation of the accrual.
  22. I almost believe the current stats are around 62% ito divorce rate. I agree with Patch that many people should have called it quits a long time ago, but they stick it out for the wrong reasons. I'm getting married in Oct, so completely the opposite as what this thread is based on. But we'll be placing our assets in companies and trusts, meaning that if we do split for some or other reason, the divorce is the simple part. The assets in the trusts and companies will be dealt with from a financial perspective with either party buying out the other or where that is not possible you split the rights to the assets and just amend the deed of trust.
  23. For the guys living in estates. How/where do you do your woodwork that you don't bug the neighbours?
  24. Google is your friend, many free plans and templates available for download. Do you mind posting a pic or link of the Kreg pocket hole jig?
  25. I read this morning a piece on FB written by some feminist group that all sex categories should be banned from sports. I wonder how many rugby matches it's going to take before a 130kg back player tackles some sense into a 60kg feminist...
