  1. Very useful analysis, thank you very much. You mentioned some factors I did not even consider.
  2. Hi, any opinion on this? https://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/titan-calypso-v-20-inch-2019 VS https://signalbikes.co.za/collections/kids-bikes-2020/products/2020-starlet20-mountainbike
  3. I'm in the market for a 20'' bike for my daughter. I have taken note of all of the above, but am still just interested in a bike that she will enjoy and gain confidence. Nothing extreme and none of those expensive brands. Any recommendation where I should start looking? I am based in Centurion.
  4. thank you! I am in centurion, just want to take my wife's bike in for a basic service that would not cost an arm and a leg. from the map earlier in the thread it looks like Rob's is fairly close to me
  5. Hi, does anyone have address details for Rob's? Please.
  6. This morning I saw the exact same thing on the Makro website, also some 'Disney branded ones' for +-R100 more. Surely there should be differences: most important I think is probably weight and quality. Also what occurred to me now - what is the norm on the tires inflatable or solid?
  7. Thank you everyone for all the valuable input and advice, I'm much more informed now. This helped a lot. Looking forward to go bike shopping.
  8. Thank you all, this is valuable information.
  9. Hi all I am in search of expert advice.. This is no unique situation and there aren't many options. My daughter is 2 1/2 turning 3 in April 2016. Long story short, I want to get her to enjoy cycling. What is the best route to follow at her age and onward. I want to buy her something that she will enjoy and that she will not outgrow in a month or two. The current trend seems to be the 'balance bike' option. I would appreciate any feedback from parents and non-parents alike. As with any cycling related purchase, we all know tat we need peace of mind and value for money. Many thanks.
  10. Thank you for sharing... your information is not helping my decision making one one bit!
  11. True, but it must be noted that trade marks is class specific and obviously should not be descriptive. So, hypothetically speaking, one would not be able to obtain a trade mark registration for 'Apple' for your fruit shop (its descriptive) but for your computer shop it's a different story (not descriptive of your goods)
  12. Also valid :-) I do however not know why wait so long. There may be endless reasons. Foreign IP law is somewhat different, I am still looking for a more detailed article on this. Anyone?
  13. Valid, but the date of registration of the various trade marks also plays a role
  14. Would the average consumer know the difference in meaning. I didn't. In their normal use (ALLEZ vs ALIZE) can an argument not be made that there are visual similarities. Risk of confusion?
  15. Complicated concept, but it boils down to trade mark rights being a territorial concept and not a worldwide right
  16. This is interesting. Just to be sure is it ALLEZ vs ALIZE ?
  17. I am also considering this. DIY project. And perhaps you don't have to use an electric motor, a hand winch may do the trick. Also, I would try and mount the bike rack on the number plate end to free the other end to be able to lift the rack from my car and lower it back onto the car using the winch/motor. PS, I have a home made bike rack, so minor changes apply.
  18. Thanks all for the help. I found some inner tubes at Cajees in Centurion this weekend. @Vinney: B.A.T. seal?? Will sealant work, even if the wheels remain unused sometimes for a few days?
  19. I am looking for inner tubes for our Chelino 3-wheel travel system. Normal 12'' tubes are not difficult to find, but these Chelino ones have a 90 degree bend in the valve for ease of inflating. I have emailed Chelino, waiting for response. Anyone knows where I can get?
  20. Fork-it

    Archery.

what happens to the bow when you dry fire it and can an expert see the 'damage' on inspection afterwards?
  21. Some bad luck there... What did you use to record your race time? GPS device? Polar?
  22. Where are the moderators when we need them, this is the third CWC post of this type that I have seen and it is making me extremely jealous! PS. very nice!
