  1. Oh, ok - so not some vegetation taken root in your nostrils. You have a gynae?
  2. Ahh well; so there's still no place for subtlety, nuance or the least bit of irony on the Hub. @ Face Plant (one word? two words? hyphenated?) hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha U funni ...well, made me laugh at least.
  3. Yaahhh but no need to get personnel
  4. Hey Blaadee Agent, no need to loose control & wet your jean pants. There's no price money at steak.
  5. Not very surprising, that's quite a weight advantage you had there.
  6. You guys are giving Spat such a hard time for quite rightly questioning something that shouldnt be happening! Ahh yes but as Bananarama & The Fun Boy Three would tell you: "It aint what you say its the way that you say it". And Spat didnt quite catch the tone that would bring a kindly response. Not saying its right, not saying its wrong (Name that BB King track). Happy Thursday
  7. One of the best signatures on the Hub, clever gag, never gets old. It works because the joke is on FanD, & not some caveman comment about women. The article isnt written by the poor woman and the writer doesnt seem to know much about much, so dont hang her over it.
  8. If my seeding is right for me, then that's all that matters. It is, except I dont live up to it, as I make sure I do Bela Bela amd/or Carousel every year.
  9. My sister is a crown prosecutor and it's the same in the Uk. And the cops can be as dim as this, beating a guy up in front of cameras but reporting that he attacked them.
  10. I dont think you think that But you're right, they prolly don't, except we all get the urge. Esp in queues, or in traffic, or at sports, or the shops - then there's those guys at work & the neighbours having a party aaaarggghhhh i hate them all and they must die! Point is, Hubbers can kick the crap out of whoever offends them and follow innocent citizens home & call the cops on them; & would approve of same cops kicking crap out of the (un)fortunate gardener who was given a nice bike. Just sayin ....
  11. Send 'em back to Big Mac if the bearings was dry and you can make find a hairline crack
  12. If the Hub was a single person, they would make one helluva mental patient. Only yesterday some poor guy here was having the (metaphorical) crap kicked out of him for trying to say that a hit and run driver should be dealt with procedurally. Many Hubbers were advocating instant / street justice. Now when other folk get going with street justice, its not ok. Well, guess what, that's why we have laws, cuz your idea of who needs the crap kicked out of them, may not be mine and vice versa. Many Hubbers are exactly the same as these cops in spirit. They just lack the means and cover to carry out their evil intentions.
  13. It was a "Critical Mass" rally (not Raleigh) which is why the street was full of bikes - the whole thing is a variation on TOSA stage 2 Funny how we're not upset about that any more - i wonder if anyone still is?
  14. And F4 FFS Having said that I am the proud owner of a 3:07 Argus picked up from F - best race ever.
  15. The guy had 2 cast-iron excuses: 1. "I was in a hurry" 2. It was self-defence
  16. It's a stunning video, I put it up this morning to little response.
  17. Thumbtacks in the cradle? "Motorist hooted at me and it's not fair" Things look a little more extreme in Brazil You must see the video link. http://offthebench.nbcsports.com/2011/02/28/video-car-plows-through-group-of-cyclists-at-brazil-critical-mass/ Nature’s delicate balance between cars and cyclists was disrupted once again on Friday, as an estimated 16 people were injured when a car plowed through a group of cyclists during a Critical Mass bicycle rally in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It’s the same type of event that occurs often in the U.S., serving as both an anti-automobile protest and a way for cyclists to meet and network. Unfortunately, it also drew a lone nutcase in a small black car who didn’t appreciate the hold-up. Richard Neis, 47, was arrested, admitting that he hit the cyclists intentionally
  18. Judge Judy sez: Snip got lucky & prolly not deliberately so. Edge lost out by not being meticulous. Cant see there being any recourse after a six week delay in reporting a problem. & to those who say take it private.... !@##@@????????????? THIS IS THE HUB, THIS IS OUR LIFEBLOOD - THIS IS WHAT WE DO!!!!! (BigH-morph off)
  19. The Macsteel riders and their guests - a lot in Change A Life kit were put in CL after the original Race no.s were issued.
  20. Bonking in the cycling sense is usually when you've ridden long and hard and completely depleted your glycogen stores. In British terms bonking is having sex. So if you see me on the bike having a smoke you know that i'm training after bonking. You've ridden whilst sick & came undone. In terms of coming back after being sick, you should listen to your bod & build up slowly. If you are competitive (& 99% of us are, with varying levels of justification) this will prove to be virtually impossible and things will take time with a couple of setbacks with you training too hard too soon. Basically - suck it and see.
  21. Macsteel Carnival City on Sunday, we were going to rename it "The Wet One" a couple of years back cuz it was; but still manageable compared to the off-roaders.
  22. Enjoy your Swiss weekend, maybe things are thawing out a bit up there - Grass, flowers, slush; or still lots of snow?
  23. I don't think they play to the Argus G-ZZ bunch-riding rules; didnt see him holding out his bottle to show the others before taking a drink either
  24. Pniel is Ukranian for "Superlegs" & hey Swiss, you backed another nube that let you down.
