I got nailed on the Lido route a while back, couldnt pin it on anyone, but it was a miserable morning with 3 punctures. It didnt make me change tack, cuz i'm a nice rider already. So no point is made by leaving them on the road, except to show that the people dropping them are stoopid.

Just as an antidote to the numerous religious threads, what was the coolest week you've had on the bike? Mine was this week. There was 70 of us did 500+kms in Malawi raising money for SA anti-crime projects, total was over R3million. Had Malcolm Lange and Gerald De Kock in our group of 20 & we got loaned new Pinarello Dogmas that they want to sell for R120k ea. There was also a TV crew with a gyrocopter so there's a one-hour proggie on Supersport coming up. So, its been a fantastic week actually. Really cool & i'll put some photos up when they come through from the very talented guy that came with us. Coolest week on a bike for me..............even though it was damn hot.

You know you are posting on a thread whose last post is a year old? There is only one seeding system and that is run by cyclelab on the supercycling website regardless of whether it was a championchip or reacetec chip.

I guess the changeover to the next year's models is a very big deal for bike shops. They dont expect to sell much in the run-up to the change as people wait for the new models; and old bikes they are holding afterwards have to be marked down. There will be some stock in the shops but it will be at its lowest this time of year if they're sensible about running their business.

Hi Mamps, the "they" would be both the mugger and the muggee. Ackshally crime inside the park will go down but crime just outside the locked gates may go up. ("Unsuspecting-would-be park-user attacked whilst rattling chains - Report claims). & what would have been a house burglary with you out on your bike in the park, now becomes an aggravated robbery as they get you in your lounge. Ahh well every silver lining has a cloud. & as one door shuts, another one closes.

I expect it will be harder for folk to get mugged in the park at night now, if they can't get in.

There's a group that goes from Bedfordview Virgin Active sat/sun a.m.'s that have got a mix of abilities. Call the gym & last I heard Michelle Joseph was the contact person - I think its more linked to the running club than the actual gym.
