  1. I don't feel like reading from the start so a quick question. If I visit the gym and use a sports watch to track my swim what points will I get if I do a 60 min swim session with an avg hr above the 70% threshold 1 - will I get my 100 points only for the gym visit 2 - or will I get the 300 point for 60min above 70% I know I will get a gym visit against my name to count towards the rolling 36 visits I have to do

  9. It's my birthday later in the month, can I also get your credit card? Don't mind the same limit
  10. I'm looking at the flight booster option at the moment as I'm wanting to travel in June. I just don't think I'll have six weeks from the time I buy the tickets until I fly
  11. when the user of that play mat in the background turns 18 and moves out of the house, then maybe you will afford a new set of wheels:)

  13. cool. I was being cautious with the shin splints. If you're wanting to improve your time and the shin splints don't act up then go for it. But if the aim is to just finish then I wouldn't risk it.
  14. if you're aiming for 21km in the Durban 70.3 then I wouldn't push the training up. I'd keep it low and comfortable and protect the legs. You don't have to do 21km beforehand. But that's my view
  15. I'm keen I'm thinking of aiming to do the robben island double at the end of this year so any training motivation will be good. I have emailed the organisers as well for information on getting my name down again
  16. if you do consider doing the 16 mile next year please let me know. Having motivation and trying to match someone else's training could be great motivation for me anyway.
  17. This is probably easier to say than actually do. You'll probably have to learn to say no to your kid. Maybe chat to your kids and explain that you simply can't afford it. Eventually they'll understand as well and no just hate you for saying no
  18. was just going to post the same message. go schoeman
  19. think it depends on how well you want to do in the 21km. I did a 21km in 2h14 a few years ago and don't think I did more than 15km a week if not less.
  20. That's a lot of running
  21. we've decided to have a bring and braai for our daughters 4th birthday this month. Will organise some party stuff for the kids and then the adults can braai. Think it's a good way to go.
  22. it's pretty safe but I wouldn't swim alone. Search FB for the "sunday hot chocolate group" They swim camps bay every sunday and very social and helpful. Search FB for "3soms" for the Clifton group. For bigbay and small bay I can't get you added to a watsapp group where you can find out what is happening
