  1. I picked up a piriformus muscle strain through running last year. After giving the muscle time to heal over two months it is now under under strength training 3x week - squats, lunges, kettle bell stuff etc. Having core strength which extends to your hips and up your back and abs muscles is only good for you. There is no need to be lifting heavy, light to moderate weight for your liking should do and single leg work like lunges are really good for running.
  2. 4. 21km training run on the back of a hilly 16km last weekend, should be tough on the pins
  5. Wooddock 5/10/20 Easy to apply
  6. Jip, DaschundMagic is epic. We have a brown specimen who at 8 months old successfully scaled a height of 750mm to get to 500g's of prime chicken breast busy defrosting. Chowed the lot and then proceeded to sleep for about 9 hours. Amazing to think as their dietary requirement at the time were 30g's of quality puppy food 3 times a day!
  7. Rocking the lambtjops!

  9. ...and what will you do in the days between Christmas and New Years? Eat left-overs?
  10. As long as said spice does not contain salt, spice away whenever just not after cooking.
  11. https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/chimichurri-sauce-2 In our case we like the chimichurri on the stake after cooking...but I suppose you can marinade the steak in it and then add to the cooked sides as you go with a brush or spooning it on
  12. So what you up to? I'm busy with a resto on an abused Stanley Bailey #4 and Swedish Anchor Block plane. They both suffered a hard life of neglect and thus given me a whole lot more to do than anticipated. Should have them done by early next year. Will post pictures Anyhow, Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to you all!
  13. It is, stick with it!
  14. I know you didn't ask, but when it comes to fish you'll need to teach yourself what it is you like and how you like it. Fish is very person specific especially on the braai and you need to work through a few pieces and whole fish to get to what you like. Experimentation is key and keeping your eye on the fish is 80% of the process, don't be shy to test as you go off the grid and some whole fish are superb when braaied on the scales only - red roman, slingers come to mind. Some fish are dual purpose; swordfish; good for pan fry but also delectable when steamed with lemon grass water...a new world of yummy awaits you And when all else fails, sardines over the coals FTW
  15. Beautiful!!!
  16. Here's a cover much better than the original...

  21. Lots of good indicators from all. I pushed a pair of NB Leadville's to 1 300km thinking I did well. It caused me an injury which I'm really battling to get to clear. I only realised how shot the shoes were when I put the new pair on. After doing a lot of reading it appears that the manufacturers want you to change at 600 - 800km's. I believe from my experience that that is the magic number.
  22. I watched 1:30 before realising its gameplay
  23. I'd give the buffalo a try if I was you. It is a bovine in nature so should have similarities to cow. Marinade in Woestersous and ripe papaya with spice of choice, slap on fire. The Yanks are also big on buffalo steaks etc, so you could find a treasure trove of info on the net
  24. Then rather take a firm grip on IT and stop mutilating it
  25. A man's body was found in the harbour wearing a Springbok jersey, pink panties, fishnet stockings and a dildo up his arse. Police removed the Springbok jersey to avoid any embarrassment to his family.
