  1. Same here, 4th year in a row too, getting old very quickly!
  2. Seeking NZ wisdom: Friend of mine's dad passed away here in the Republic. South African consulate will only see them in two weeks with following documents in place: - copy of death certifcate - Rates or confirmed address certificate - Two weeks bank statements - $400 I'm sure there should be an easier way in? Any of you have any tips I would highly appreciate it. The Kiwi's now so no more green passports. Shot!
  3. Shot for posting that! Put a big fat smile on my face!
  4. Not a movie, but on Netflix there's a series called Money Heist (Casse de Pappel). It Spanish with English subtitles. It's brilliant, some seriously fine acting and a killer story with lots of sub plots. Should keep you busy till you find something else.
  5. It's OK'ish (mostly because I understand some of the language), just completed it over two nights with the lighty...it's like Patch rightly points out too much of too much. That being said, the children love it, lots of stuff happening, blowing up and fighting rhino's.
  6. the original PK
  7. GF = Goeie F**
  8. Builders or anyone selling Weber products - the hickory chips usually are a Weber product
  9. I've been suffering with piriformus for the past year. Nothing I did would clear it up. I ran in NB shoes too, but that was not the problem. It persisted after changing to Adidas with same 8mm heel drop. Numerous visits to the chiro, physio and self-help stuff till I went to GP. Sent for x-rays and my back is a bit of a mess due to poor form caused by weak gut muscles and prolonged periods of sitting. I suggest by starting with a back x-ray, the doc will know where to focus on once you have that box checked work from there. Piriformus is a major SOB to get cleared up. Edit; I still run, but my distances are shorter (between 15 and 21k's) and can't push the pace too much otherwise piriformus flares up. It is getting better though.
  10. Me too, a complex issue it is indeed!

  14. Maybe it's been discussed already, been a busy boy the past few weeks; Netflix original: Money Heist/Casa de Pappel Spanish heist story with english subtitles - was brilliant, really loved the story, the acting it was top TV in my humble opinion

    Who remembers?

You just tweaked a memory, not of CR but a spot called Cherries Two (or was it Too?) in SnorCity 1991...a one man band was very famous at the time doing covers of Dire Straits and other legends. We heard about him and headed down there one night, was somewhere close to Proes Straat (I know)...on a corner...had a grand old time listening to the music and getting upside down on Lion Lager. Left the place in the early AM, got picked up by the two SAP detectives (one was a famous Blou Bul centre or full back, name escapes me now) who gave us a lift to barracks. The "famous dude" then reincarnates years later as Dozi
  20. Gents, honest question - kids are bugging me for a console! PS or X-Box or is this one of those questions with no clear answer? thanks for helping
  21. Let me add to your sample data: The sport has gone through it's steep upwards growth curve, many consumers have realised their own potential as MTB/Road cyclers and many have been brought down with a bang. In my view and through discussions with mates in the community of cycling in and around my town, it seems the case. On a personal note, I have the following buying criteria in the classifieds; 1. I need a helmet priced at between R500-1000 2. I search for weeks till I hit the sweet spot 3. My sweet spot last year got me a Spez MTB helmet for R600 in near new condition from a person described above. What I noticed during my search was as was mentioned above: - Second hand product and new at above new prices with 100's of views and no comments or questions As a seller I sold on the "what will you pay for a good second hand one" principle. I've not sell much but have sold what I placed on the few occasions in good time. I'm sure the general public is more careful with their money and also their transactions on here but that goes for most places of trade on the web.
  22. Two schools on the pulled meat scene: 1. Cooked in sealed dish with moisture adding "stuff" - then pull apart for wet pulled meat (I do beef rib like this, will post my recipe when I do it again) 2. Cooked till falling apart/dry pulled - like smoking or roasting etc = the trick here is the side sauces or slaws etc to wet it again, so essentially working with textures etc What you achieved was perfectly fine and then adding a sauce, yummy looking
  23. Been soo busy, my kids love the old Karate Kid Movies, will show them this, they'll be stoked!
  24. The picture to me says some dry rot in places and when the screws start leaving the cross braces you have bottom rot. You'll be able to squeeze some life from from that deck but I would start saving for replacement planks.
