  1. What comment? I wouldn't be surprised if Cajees was an alien force sent to probe cyclists to research the potential for human experimentation....
  2. Rubbing is racing. HTFU
  3. 3mm is best.
  4. Nice. R2.99 per km. So I am "saving" almost R400 per week by riding 3 days a week to work.
  5. I save about R150 per week, based on about R1/km, just in fuel.
  6. I have learned that I CAN commute straight through winter. I'm glad that I have. Especially with the damn fuel price at the moment.
  7. It's more grey. I'm not planning on getting any more any time soon.
  8. Don't you wanna "drop" us a hint?
  9. Bloody Niner-owners-club...tsk tsk tsk
  10. Unless Buys rides like last year.....
  11. Yup, roadies win Trailseekers. BUT let's see a roadie win at VG.....bring on that satellite descent!
  12. Run 23c front and back at 7-8bar.
  13. You should never use all 10 cogs when in your small ring up front. At most 7, preferably the 4-5 biggest ones. Cross-chaining is a bad thing.
  14. Anyone want one of these? R125 each including postage.
  15. You're always so damned practical!
  16. Please don't post profiles like this 10 days before the event if it's gonna change. Surely you have finalised the route by then?
  17. I can't argue that! I was severely under-geared on my SS (32x18) so I was at a disadvantage in the beginning stages with the fast terrain and the first guy from C to catch me was at the 18km waterpoint. I was expecting sooner!
  18. Sounds like you wouldn't pass a dope test....
  19. I have Deores (M596) and they are awesome, cheap, powerful, reliable, quiet and awesome. Do it. Throw that Avid rubbish out.
  20. Sorry about that. At least you can buy a Nissan or Ford now.....
  21. Venue was lekker for the family though. Was lekker to ride with JCZA for a lot of the race.
  22. Ok. Done and dusted. Literally. The rave: I improved vastly compared to last year. 2012 was 67km and I did it in over 4 hours. This year was 74.8km and I did it in 3:45. Rant: 74.8km. They could have told us. Why are the published profiles and distances ALWAYS different to reality? The 20&40km races joined the 70 route just before a river crossing. Read: bottleneck creation. I'm impressed with my progress but Cullinan won't see me again.
  23. Those are the only grips you'll ever wanna use after trying them. Can't wait to see your Inbred built up. I love mine! Just weighed it too and it's 12.11kg with Manitou Tower forks and ZTR Flow/Hope Pro II wheels.
  24. Who else is doing it SS? What ratio's you running?
