  1. New CM Jozi headset caps now available. R125 each. Buy 2 or more for free postage. PM me your order.
  2. I have a couple of roadbikes that need a good home. Can anyone recommend a good development cycling program that I can give them to?
  3. Try e-bay.
  4. But on closer inspection, I noticed that the top tube had a spiral crack in it at the internal cable routing aperture. So Sad. I still bought the bike for parts though....vintage aero brake levers are hard to come by!
  5. I found a bargain on another classifieds website, called the gent and arranged to meet. Old school Peugeot Rapport was the item for 400 Randelas.
  6. Fixed
  7. http://app.strava.co...vities/34910057 This is the Harkerville Red route. It's sublime.
  8. The Trek is definitely the sexier bike.....look at those fork stantions!
  9. Get better soon Mike! Let us know how you're doing!
  10. Thanks for the donation, much appreciated!
  11. A rigid 26'er single speed makes you a better rider. A 29er makes you a happier rider.
  12. with a small exposure adjustment in Lightroom, you have this. Remember that you can always overexposue your shot a bit when shooting a very light scene like this, or at the beach or in snow as your camera's light meter always tries to average out the exposure.
  13. I always have a flashy red LED on the back whenever I am on or near a road. I'm sure it makes me more visible and certainly makes me feel safer.
  14. Nice bike!
  15. I rode 90km in the Cradle on a similar bike with some mates this weekend. 42x18 ratio was just about perfect.
  16. I built this steel single speed from parts lying around just before my Christmas holidays. On Saturday I was invited to go for a road ride in the Cradle by some mates. I don't have a road bike, so I took this out for a spin as it's maiden voyage. A 90km maiden voyage. How sweet it is to pass roadies with their 80mm deep section carbon wheels and 7kg bikes on the hills with this 11kg, 20-year old bike with no gears. 42x18 was interesting up some of the hills but it's super-smooth and surprisingly fast! What a fun outing!
  17. It'll be fine without any treatment. That said, keep it looking fresh by giving it a good old wax with some car polish before building her up to prevent the typical surface dulling due to corrosion.
  18. Yeah, let's do that again sometime. Did you want to do it faster?
  19. Good idea. I'd be in for sure.
  20. I was being a sissy and riding quite slowly near the back of the group. When I arrived on the scene, Mike was sitting on the floor holding his arm to his chest. Thanks to BBN for bringing the recovery vehicle!
  21. Get better soon Mike! PS - I stopped your ride on your GPS so you will always remember where you bailed.
  22. I would say 34x20, or even 32x20, depending on your climbing ability. I would run 32x20 personally.
  23. Results are on cyclesport.co.za My results are messed up though. It says I did it in 8 hours. haha. Must be a number mess up. 3.46 was my GPS tracked time.
  24. Where are the results?
  25. I'll bring a handful of caps with me.
