  1. most of the ladeis specific saddles i tried dont work for me except the selle itlia slr but many will find it a very hard one. male or female i find specialised saddles the best and use the avatar on my MTB which is quite comfy. i see they now have quite sporty ladies saddles too, go to complete cyclist in bryanston who had demo saddles so you wont spend money for something not working for you
  2. nah mine is the 2012 model where the axle and skewer is one unit, or at least supposed to, DT swiss is dof as far as i am concerned because the skewer attaches to the axle via skrew on but supposed to be tight enough that the skewer and axle comes out as one, but the thread bwteen the skewer and axcle runs same direction so sometimes the skewer comes loose instead of the whole unit. i am not an engineer but i would have done the threat the other way around. anyway, hope the new one works fine, would hat to get stuck out in the sticks wuth this issue
  3. Happens with me if i dont take enough protein with my breakfast/pre race meal, maybe add an egg to your breakfast, its a fine balance coz too much protein will weigh you down again.
  4. Yep design flaw really skewer screws loose from axle, bike shop managed to release my wheel then temp fix with locktite and now waiting for new skewer
  5. For me the service is one thing, but i like to know where the stuff i buy from comes from. If the source is above board i see no harm in her being transparent about it, and with the variety and service she then gives i will certainly support her. But i need to know.
  6. But where does she get all the stuff?
  7. Thats my dream shop, leave me alone to look around i will ask for help if i need
  8. Cant help to wonder
  9. Sorry stupid question got my s works stumpy with 142 axle now trying to remove the wheel so when i unscrew that skewer the axle does not come out?? What am i missing?
  10. cycle sure good just had a trouble free claim. theft yep your bike must be locked and what gets to me even when at home which may not be practical, can understand if on a bike rack though

  13. tx after chatting to a few people sounds best to go for a pair of decent alu rims that go with the hubs. still waiting for insurance for feedback, see no reason why they should not cover
  14. tx do you sell the rims alone, if so will they go with the roval hubs and stuff and how much?
  15. yes thanks, spend the day yesterday doing just that, now mission getting wheels sorted
  16. so i cooked my roval carbon trail sl rims this weekend (car exhaust) after getting my bike on thursday (secondhand). Question now, do i just get new same same rims, do i go for another (alu) rim or do i just get another set of wheels like Mavic cmax slr? People speak highly of the roval carbon wheels but question on carbon reliability?
  17. seriousely agree, on the instructor that is
  18. Must be so funny to see!
  19. Well they are certainly droolworthely sexy, guess with these prop stuff you need a spare set of wheels around......

  21. or is it supposed to be like this??
  22. I ride on my own on sundays and the one day this bloke on blue retro bike cycled all along with me and gutt wise i got quite suspicious. Stayed behind him and the slower i went the slower he went, until i sprinted off and he could not keep up. So I wont discount these stories but somehow see this as some bloke with "issues" rather than a hardcore criminal, he needs a few shots of pepperspray and snot klaps then he will move on somewhere else.
  23. Sjoe no claustofobic and in south afr sun and heat wont make sense
  24. Think complete cyclist has a ladies ride they are on twitter and facebook
